p 0 I ik> TALKS ABOUT CAPSULES — Ervin ScoviUe, left, a Lakeland Kiwanian from North Webster, spoke about the production of capsules for medicine, which he was associated with through the Eli-Lilly Company for 28 years. Scoville spoke at a recent meeting of the Wawasee Kiwanis Club and is shown with Jack Oswald, president of the club. Scoville was an engineer responsible for the installation of the equipment used in the manufacture of the capsules found at the prescription counters. Tlie capsules are made, from slow baked gelatin, formed into halves. An important part is the colorization of the gelatin. The kind of medicine inside is identifiable by the color. Scoville stated the Eli-Lilly Company is the only one that makes a locking capsule, where the halves lock together.
