412 at WHS SWAP Day
SWAP Day at Wawasee High School has become a tradition. It is held annually during National Education Week when adults swap with high school students and attend classes for a day. Last Thursday was SWAP day and 412 moms and dads, brothers and sisters, grandpas and grandmas, friends and neighbors became students for a day. The reason for the SWAP is to show Lakeland adults what goes on at the high school between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m! Monday thru Friday at W awasee. One mother was heard to relate, “I didn’t know my son could move this fast,” as she hurried from classroom to classroom. Most found students were learning to operate more com-

All in all, most felt they had a better knowledge of the daily schedule of a high school student at the close of the day.

North Webster honor rolls released for first period
The North Webster Junior High School honor rolls have been released for the first grading period by principal G. Wendell Bryant. They follow: Distinguished Eighth grade — Melissa Coldren. Cindy Knotts, Jeff McClure. Amy Owens and Kim Zurcher Black Angus shot Kenneth Miller, r 1 Leesburg notified the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department Sunday, Nov. 18, that his black Angus cow had been shot the day before. Miller and a neighbor found the dead cow which weighed 800 to 900 pounds and valued $500.50 in the woods near CR' 200E north of CR 700 N. The animal is believed To have been shot with a highpowered rifle. The incident was reported to Kosciusko County Radio Dispatcher Forrest Bouse.
