Concord defeats Wawasee 42-12

While some Wawasee fans sang “Jingle Bells” others were dressed for the weather as Warrior fans braved the cold fall temperatures to attend the Wawasee-Concord football game Friday night. The game was played at Wawasee with Concord going home the 42-12 victors. In spite of the cold, action was feverish during the first quarter as Al Schlagenhauf went 47 yards for a touchdown before the first two minutes could tick off the clock. The conversion failed but Wawasee took a 6-0 lead. The lead was short-lived, however, as the Minutemen marched downfield with Steve Kollias going the final seven yards for the TD. Brad Martin’s kick was good and Concord was on top 7-6.
