Try Egypt For the past several years, many medical researchers have suggested there is probably a link between stress in daily life and contracting cancer. Now, two Canadian scientists say they have been able to demonstrate a direct connection between the spread of cancer in mice and the stress the animals were under at the time. Doctors Lawrence Sklar and Hymie Anisman, writing in Science magazine, say that two groups of mice were injected with cancer cells and that one of the groups was then subjected to stress-producing shocks. The Carleton University researchers report that animals under the stress of shocks showed earlier and larger tumors and did not survive as long as the other animals. Stress, they conclude, apparently helps spread cancer through the body.

A new series of studies has found that there are differences between the ways in which men and women dream. Researchers at the university of California claim that females report more feelings and colors in their dreams than males do and Meditators don't dream as much Scientist have reportedly discovered that people who practice Transcendental Meditation do not dream as often or as deeply as people who don’t meditate. The British publication New Scientist reports that a team of doctors monitored the sleeping processes of TM practitioners. The doctors are said to have discovered that those who meditated each day using the TM techniques enjoyed significantly less “rapid eye movements” or “REM” sleep.

that females are more apt to remember their dreams the following day. Men, in Ihe meantime, are said to be more physically aggressive in their dreams. A second dream researcher, Dr. Calvin Hall, reports he has found that men dream more about other men, while women dream about other women. According to Dr. Hall, women in his study dreamed equally about women and men in their sexual dreams, but were not upset about the content of such dreams. Dr. Hall says he found, however, that males seemed to be bothered by the possible interpretation of homosexuality in their dreams about other males. "Stubbornness is the energy of fools."
