Public library opens September 1 The push is on to have the North Webster-Tippecanoe Township Public Library open by September 1, according to Julie Rhodes of the Library Board. Finishing touches are being put on the shelving and painting is being completed. One of the most urgent needs is a card catalog. It is an expensive item. A chicken barbecue will be held September 1 on the lawn of the Counting House Bank. All proceeds will go toward supporting the library facility. The North Webster Library is unique because it is being created and supported entirely by the people of the community. Financial help is badly needed, and book donations are still being accepted at the North Webster Police Station.
