Milford woman's bond is raised

Judge Redding increased the bond from $25,000 to $50,000 when he learned it might be a risk to leave the defendant out on bond. Rolon’s family is in Massachusetts and Puerto Rico and there are no family ties reported in the area, Wilmer McLaughlin, her attorney, withdrew his appearance because of the lack of funds by the defendant and her refusal to follow his recommendations. Her reported accomplice, Adalberto Lugo Rivera was sentenced to 10 years in prison for the same burglary and would soon be considered for shock probation. Redding stated time was running out on his decision on the shock probation and requesting another attorney is a way to delay the case. Tom Murto will be the special public defender for Rolon and her trial will be on August 13 until further order.
