Christ and your job!
“I think every Christain layman should try to actively spread the gospel and Christ's love through their job," stated Dr Jack Clark, Dewart Lake. Clark has been a lay leader for the Saint Andrew's United Methodist Church, Syracuse, for thle past five years. Clark stated his job as a lay leader doesn't mean he is a leader. His job is to encourage other lay people to follow through with the [responsibility of Christians in[ spreading the word He remarked of how being a lay leader allows him to deal with the spiritual sice of the church instead of the business side. He added his duty sometimes makes him act as a liason between the minister snd the congregation or the congregation and -the minister Other duties pertaining to his being -a lay leader are in-’ troducing guest speakers in the

Kevin Rhoads works with adults, youth Kevin Rhoads, son of Mr. and Mrs. Feri A. Rhoads. Syracuse, recently graduated from Ozark Bible College. Joplin. Mo. He is spending his minister’s internship at Milford Christian Church working with adults and youth, along with learning the ropes of the minister and youth minister. He also prepares services, goes calling, leads a class and takes youth groups on special activities. He also does visitation. Rhoads started his internship in June. Rhoads decided during his senior year at Wawasee High School to become a minister because he had a desire to win lost souls. He graduated from Wawasee in 1974. He is a member of Milford Christian Church and finds it is not hard for him to pursue his duties as a minister He commented many in his age group are not there, but, he did mention that the older people expect more out of him than the kids do. Included in his goals for the future is the starting of a Evangelistic association across the United States to lead Christians and nonChristians. KEVIN RHOADS The elders of Milford Christian Church ordained Rhoads in July 1978. His stay in Milford will be for six months and then no specific church will'be assigned for him. He will be available to any church who wishes to accept him as a minister, within the Christian Churches. Rhoads wants to travel and is hopeful for revivals in which he will be able to go in to all denominations to preach. - Rhohds' hobbies include woodworking, water skiing and preaching. He commented that the greatest thing in ministry is serving others as a servant. "It's away of glorifying Christ.”

Harris returns Michael L. Harris, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles M. Harris of Syracuse, has just returned from northern Mexico where he has been, in his own words, “laboring as a missionary in the service of God and His fellow' man.” Harris was stationed principally in the Monterrey area in the Mexico-Monterrey Mission of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormons). He says. “It was a fulfilling experience to be a part of the growth and development of this chosen people and to lose oneself in the service of others.” Harris says he would be happy to tell about his experiences, along with a slide presentation, to any clubs, churches, schools or other organizations interested, without charge. He intends to look for a job as a social worker in the Syracuse area. <• “...the earth 1 is full of the goodness of the Lord.” —Psalms 33:5
