QUEEN CANDIDATE — Nannette Dipert. 17, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jon Dipert, r 2 box 214-A Syracuse, a freshman of Parkview School of Nursing, is being sponsored by Eoo and Eave’s Cantohese Restaurant in Syracuse for the "Queen of Lakes” contest. She has light brown hair and blue eyes, if five feet, six inches tall and weighs 115 pounds. The candidate enjoys sailing, sinking, acting and plays the guitar and flute.

MISS WAWASEE LAKE’ — Kathleen M. Ness, IX, daughter of Mr.' and Mrs. Richard Ness, Syracuse, is being sponsored by the West Park Skate Center in the “Queen of Lakes” competition. QUEEN CONTESTANT — Cheryl Powell, 17, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Powell, box 156 Burket, will be contending for the title of “Queen of Lakes.” sponsored by the Mentone Chamber of Commerce. Lori Littlefield receives degree Lori Littlefield, daughter of Mr and Mrs. Richard Littlefield, r 3 Syracuse, received her associate of science degree during commencement exercises June 18. at Anderson College. Michael Wooten injured in cycle accident
Michael Wooten. 22. Syracuse, was treated for abrasions to his arms, hands and shoulders, following a motorcycle accident southeast of Benton on CR 33 south of CR 146 ‘on Thursday. June 21. Elkhart County Sheriff’s Selective Enforcement Sgt. Dean Neter cited Wooten for unreasonable speed Wooten was southbound on CR 33 and had passed two south bound vehicles .and returned to his traffic lane, when he had to
