Syracuse fire chief gives report The Syracuse Fire Department released its report on activities for the month of May. The report follows: v There were five town calls and seven township calls answered for a total of 12. The estimate of property damage in town was $6,000 and $29,165 for township damage for a total of $35,165. The amount of water used in town fires was 10,150 gallons. used in township fires was *2,050. The total was 12,200 gallons. Mileage in town was 54 and miles driven ?n the township were 50 for a total of 55 1 a miles. The firemen spent six hours and 40 minutes on town calls and six hours and nine minutes on township calls for a total time of 12 hours and 49 minutes.
