Section 3, That the Clerk Treasurer will post notice of the passage of this ordinance in three (3) places within, the Town of Syracuse, Indiana, one of which places shall be the Town Hall of said Town, and one of and that the services of full police protection, which will be at a convenient place near the State Bank of Syracuse, in said Town, and the other of which will be posted at a con venient place near the Northern Indiana Public Service Company, in said Town, and the Clerk-Treasurer is further directed to cause notice of the passage of this ordinance to be published in two (2) newspapers of general circulation, circulating in the Town of Syracuse, Indiana, and which newspapers are published in Kosciusko County, Indiana, and the publication of which notices shall run concurrently in each of said newspapers for two (2) consecutive weeks. Josh Smith wins top poster honors

Josh Smith, a Burket fifth grader, won “Best of Show” in the 1979 Conservation Poster Contest. First place went to Doug Flory, Leesburg school. Phil Charters, Milford, won second place and Kevin Farrington, Warsaw Christian School, received a third place ribbon. Honorable mention ribbons went to four people: Carl Sullivan, Mentone: Charity Johnston. Milford; Travis fteiff. North Webster; and Lisa Burgh, Linchol school, Warsaw. This was the eighth year for the contest, which is sponsored by the Auxiliary of the Kosciusko Soil and Water Conservation District. Each fifth grader who made a poster received a Norway Spruce seedling. John McClain arrested at Syracuse John Wade McClain, 42, r 2 Milford, was arrested, Wednesday night. May 23, and charged with public intoxication, disorderly conduct and assaulting a police officer. The arrest was made by Syracuse police and bail was set at $l,lOO.
