Ilhemost ■important ■reason for ■saving. You. You're the most important reason for saving. Because saving regularly I means money in the bank. And money in the bank means you can stop and take a breath ... be more relaxed about sizing up opportunities. It can change the way you walk . . . talk . . . act with other people. It builds selffl’ confidence. Money in the bank allows you to look for the right job ... or resign from the wrong one. Savings has nothing to do with income. Some big earners are also big ■ spenders. And spend their lives looking over their shoulders. ■ For yourself, and your self-confidence, save regularly at First National Bank. Where people (just like you) come first. Trade up to SNAPPER dependability. SNAPPER earned that reputation where grass grows most of the year and where "SNAPPER" and “Rider" are almost synonymous: A smooth cut and even discharge of cuttings, immediate response steering, on-the-go adjustment of speed with no loss of cutting power, and. resistance to scalping and damage. Seeing’s believing, so ask for a demonstration. SNAPPER is worth more because it does more and its price is competitive with other quality mowers. 3 Any way you cut it... Feds to enforce 'eyeglass' rule The Federal Trade Commission has launched an investigation to determine whether optometrists and ophthamologists are violating the Commission s "eyeglasses rule", which requires them to provide each patient with a written prescript ion immediately following an examination The rule also prohibits restriction on advertising of eye examinations or prescription eyewear The investigation will also determine whether this rule provision is being violated "With their prescription in hand and the increased availability of information, consumers w ill be* able to shop for the price level and quality of goods that they desire," according to FTC staff attorney Scott Klurfeld, who has primary responsibility for enforcing the rule "From some parts of the country we have received only isolated complaints, but in other areas it appears that a sub stantial number of practitioners are disobeying the rule. " Klurfeld reported The FTC’s investigation, in addition to discovering whether the rule is being violated, will determine whether consumers and practititoners should receive redress for any injury they have suffered as a result of violations The agency has authority to file suit seeking civil penalties of as much as slo.ooofor each violation of its rule.
