Enjoy the outdoors: attend a festival

(('lip And Save) Summer conjures up images of vacations, swimming at the beach and county fairs. Throughout Indiana, celebrations of various sorts occur with regularity from mid-May to early October. For extreme northern Indiana residents, activities ranging from the Tulips on Parade Festival in Michigan City, to the west; and the Auburn-Cord-Dusenburg Festival in Auburn, to the east, provide many opportunities to learn the pride and traditions of cities and towns that make up an integi al part of Hoosierland The following is a list of events that fill those “lazy. hazy, crazy days of summer.'' July 16’21 — 125th Anniversary Celebration at Warsaw. July 27-29 — Historical Days at New Carlisle. August 9-12 — Pletcher Village Art Festival at Nappanee. August 10-11 — Garrett Days at Garrett. August 10-11 — Potato Creek Festival at North Liberty. August 27-Sept. 3 — Auburn-Cord-Dusenburg Fest ival at Auburn. August 31-Sept. 3 — Oktoberfest at Michigan City. September 1-3 — Blueberry Festival at Plymouth. September 8-9 — Stone's Trace Pioneer Craft Festival at Ligonier. September 22-23 — Sorghum Festival at Hesston. September 28-29 — Apple Festival at Nappanee.
