ORDINANCE NUMBER 79-13 AN ORDINANCE FOR ANNEXATIONOF CONTIGUOUS TERRITORY TO THE TOWN OF SYRACUSE. INDIANA, PROVIDING FOR THE TERMS OF SAID ANNEXATION WHEREAS, the real estate hereinafter described is contiguous to the present cor porafe boundary of the Town of Syracuse. Indiana, and forms a compact area abutting said Town, and WHEREAS, said territory is needed for the development of the Town of Syracuse in the reasonably near future, and, WHEREAS, said territory is urban in character and is an economic and social part of the Town of Syracuse, Indiana, and. WHEREAS, the Town of Syracuse is financially able to provide municipal ser vices to said territory within the reasonably near future, and, WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the Town of Syracuse, Indiana, and of the territory sought to be annexed, to so annex
the same to said Town, NOW. THE RE FORE. be it ordained by the Board of Trustees of the Town of Syracuse. Indiana, that: Section 1. The following described real estate situate in Kosciusko County, Indiana, more particularly described as follows, to wit: Beginning at the most Southerly corner of Lot Numbered 18 in the Original Plat of Oak Knoll as recorded in Plat Book 4, page I, in the Office of the Recorder of Kosciusko County. Indiana, which is a point on the existing corporate boundary line of the Town of Syracuse; thence South to the Northeast corner of the recorded plat of Lingofeller Park, Lake Wawasee thence Southerly on and along the East boundary of said 'ecorded plat of Lingofelter Park to the Southeast corner of said recorded plat, thence West on and along the South boundary of said recorded plat of Lingofelter Park to the Southwest corner of said recorded plat, and continuing West on and along the North line of a public road to a point 895.4 feet, more or less. West of the Southwest corner of Lot Numbered 28 in said recorded plat of Lingofelter Park, and which said point is on the existing corporate boundary line of the Town of Syracuse: thence North 3 degrees 47 minutes West, on and along the existing corporate boundary line of the Town of Syracuse, to an iron stake which is 276 3 feet East of the East line of Old State Road 13; thence East, on and along the existing corporate boundary line of the Town of Syracuse, to the place of beginning. which is not presently a part of the Town of Syracuse, Indiana, be and the same is hereby annexed to and made a part of the corporate area of the Town of Syracuse. At the time this ordinance takes effect, a fiscal plan has been developed and a definite policy has been established to fur nish and provide to the above described territory herein governmental and proprietary services substantially equivalent in standard and scope to such, services furnished in the Town of Syracuse, and that the services of full police protection.

Indiana, one of which places shall be toe Town Hall of said Town, and one of which will be at a convenient place near toe State Bank of Syracuse, in said Town, and the other of which will be posted at a con venient place near toe Northern Indiana Public Service Company, in said Town, and the Clerk Treasurer is further directed to cause notice of the passage of this ordinance ' to be published in two (2) newspapers of general circulation, circulating in the Town of Syracuse.
