Final rites for Marshall Estep held Tuesday Aug. 7,l9o9—April 14. 1979 Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Milford United Methodist Church, Milford for Thomas Marshall Estep, 70, of 110 East Shore Dr., Syracuse, a retired farmer and owner of Estep Trucking Co. Mr. Estep died at 3 a m. Saturday in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, of heart failure following surgery a week before. Burial was in Leesburg cemetery. He was born August 7, 1909, in Jefferson Township, Kosciusko County, to Alphus and Rose (Thomas* Estep. His first' marriage was to Margaret Guy, who died in 1945. On November 12, 1946, he married Helen Horn, who survives. Mr. Estep was a member of Kosciusko Lodge 418, Scottish Rite and Mizpah Shrine in Fort Wayne and a past president of the Milford Lions Club. He was a board member of Kosciusko Community Hospital, and served for several years on the Kosciusko County Tax Adjustment Board. Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Keith (Judy) Grindle of Warsaw; one stepdaughter. Mrs. Guy (Peggy) Zimmerman of Fort Wayne; a brother, Paul Estep. Chandler. Ariz.; 11 grandchildren and eight greatgrandchildren. One son preceded him in death. Memorials may be made to the Kosciusko County Health and Diabetes Associations. Alexandria at 1 p.m. on Thursday for Miss Jennie L. Jackson, 23, Valparaiso, granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Mason of Leesburg. Miss Jackson died on Monday, April 9, of injuries sustained in an auto accident near Valparaiso. She was a teacher at Indiana Vocational College and Purdue North Central at Michigan City. Burial was in Parkview cemetery, Alexandria. Frank E. Anderson Dec. 10, 1904 — April 16, 1979 Frank E. Anderson. 74, Syracuse, died in Goshen Hospital, Monday, April 16, at 4:25 p.m. He had been a patient there for two days. He was born in Orland, Sweden, on December 10, 1904. He married Evelyn Christianson on November 15, 1930. She survives. He moved to Dewart Lake from Chicago in 1957. The deceased retired from Da-Lite Screen. Warsaw, in 1976. He was a member of the Milford United Methodist Church, Kosciusko Lodge 418 F & AM and Kosciusko Chapter 160 Order of the Eastern Star. Surviving with his wife are his son Donald of Dewart Lake: two grandsons; two sisters Mrs. Hattie Johnson and Mrs. Lillie Hevin, both of Chicago. One sister preceeded him in death. Services will be held at the United Methodist Church, Thursday, April 19, at 11 a m. Rev. Everett Owens will officiate. Burial will follow at the Leesburg cemetery. Funeral arrangements were in the charge of Mishler Funeral Home. Milford. Friends may call tonight (Wednesday) from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Masonic and Eastern Star services will be held at 8 p.m. Otto A. Robison March 13, 1899 —April 16. 1979 Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the WrightYoder Funeral Home in Nappanee for Otto A. Robison, 80, 211 W. Wilden Ave., Goshen. Mr. Robison, father of Mrs. Dale Weaver, r 5, Syracuse, died at 4:35 a.m. Monday in Saint Joseph Hospital, Mishawaka, where he had been a patient for five days. He suffered complications from hip surgery. Friends were received Tuesday and from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today (Wednesday) in the funeral home. Rev. Carl Stump will officiate at services and burial will follow in Union Center cemetery.

Formerly of Nappanee, he was born March 13, 1899, in Gravelton. On April 20, 1921, he married Mary Ellen Thomas in Warsaw. She died September 25, 1960. Surviving are two sons, Albert and Gerald, both of r 1, Nappanee; four daughters, Mrs. Victor Hershberger of Shamrock Park, Nappanee, Mrs. Weaver of Syracuse, Mrs. Paul Cannon of r 1 Bremen, and Mrs. Norman Davis of Goshen; 18 grandchildren; 25 greatgrandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter, and a sister, Mrs. Leonard James, Marcellus, Mich. Mrs. William C. Oft Aug. 27,1900 — April 12,1979 Funeral services were held at 10:30 am. Monday in the Wesleyan Church, Albion, for Mrs. Alice A. Ott, r 1 North Webster. Mrs. Ott, 78. died at 9:40 p.m. last Thursday in her home after a five-year illness. Born on August 27, 1900 in Benton County to George and Essee (Flimp) Shew, she was married to William C. Ott at Wolf Lake on September 4, 1919. He survives. She was retired from the Wesleyan Church Headquarters, Marion and she and her husband moved to North Webster in 1971 from Gas City. She was a member of the College Wesleyan Church, Marion and attended the United Methodist Church in North Webster. Surviving besides her husband are five sons, George Ott of Bartlesville, Okla,. Ellman Ott and Francis Ott, both of Marion, Jack Ott of Columbia, S. C. and Harold Ott of Upland; one sister, Tamson Craven of Newburg, Ore.; a brother, Eugene Shew, Columbia City; 18 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Rev. Robert Kenworthy, district superintendent of the Wesleyan Church and Rev. Rex Lindemood of North Webster officiated at the services. Arrangements were in charge of the Brazzell Funeral Home, Albion. Burial was in the Christian Chapel cemetery. Adam J. Gibbs July 6, 1977 — April 17,1979 Adam Johnathan Gibbs, two, died Tuesday, April 17, at 3 p.m. in a Columbus, Ga., Hospital. He had been ill since birth and death was due to complications from this illness. He is the son of Cindy Gibbs, Syracuse and grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Elder, Syracuse. He was born July 6, 1977. Survivors include his father, David Gibbs, Columbus, Ga.; one brother, David II; one stepsister. Roy Spry Nov. 21,1920 —April 16,1979 Funeral services for Mrs. Virginia Spry, 58, of North Webster, who died of a heart ailment at 10:25 p.m. Monday in Parkview Memorial Hospital, Fort Wayne, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Wyman Funeral Home in Pierceton. For many years she served as dispatcher in her home for firemen and EMS. She was also a former employee for 20 years of Essex Wire Co. at Ligonier. Surviving are her husband, two sons, Larry L. Spry, r 1, Leesburg and C. Gregory Spry of Warsaw; two grandchildren; her mother, Mrs. Thelma Sparks. Warsaw; three brothers. Duane W. VanCuren of North Webster. H AMMAN HOME, IMPROVING Robert A. Hamman, r 1 Cromwell, was critically injured in a fall from a ladder, while trimming a tree, February 28, at his home. He was taken to Goshen Hospital by the Ligonier Emergency Medical Service and later in the day transported to Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. Hamman remained unconscious for 21 days and in the intensive care unit. On March 12 he underwent brain surgery. He has since returned home and is slowly improving. According to Mrs. Hamman, no visitors are permitted at this time. Syracuse EMS The Syracuse ambulance was summoned at 6:06 p.m. Saturday to r 1 box 31b, Syracuse, where Shane Lane, four, had fallen in the water. A. neighbor saw the child go in and pulled him out. He was taken to Goshen Hospital. Ambulance called at 9:51 p.m. Monday to Schacht Rubtier Co., SR 13S where Jeff Maule. 24, r 1 box 613, Leesburg, involved in motorcycle accident, multiple injuries, transported to Goshen Hospital. Milford EMS Only one run was made this week by the Milford Emergency Services unit. The unit was called to the Christian Church at 10 a.m. when a woman fainted. In his new assignment with Weldun, his responsibilities include instructing a 12-week preapprenticeship program, which will be held at Bridgman High School, establishing and coordinating courses regarding trade related instruction through Lake Michigan College and overseeing the apprenticeship program within the Weldun organization in general.
