Let’s Talk About Our Equal Payment Plan ... A Tailor Made Solution 17 To Budget Problems : (iol ©jr v ForNIPSCOGas and/br Electric Customers

The best way to smooth out those high winter gas bills and those summer electric airconditioning bills is to take advantage of NIPSCO’s Equal Payment Plan. It's convenient, and a big help in planning your budget. You pay the same amount for gas and electric service each month throughout the year. Here’s How The Plan Works Normally, the Equal Payment Plan runs from June through May; how ever, it can be started at any time. We determine from our records what you have used in the past and. from that experience, estimate what you can be expected to use during the coming year. The annual cost is then calculated and divided into 12 equal monthly payments. As your meters are read, the amount of energy actually used and the cost appears on your bill. In this way. you can keep track of your actual costs: however, you pay only the budgeted amount. If. for some reason, your meter readings are estimated, you pay only for what you have used, based on actual meter readings, at the end of the Equal Payment Plan year. Any difference between what has been paid and the total amount due at the end of budget period —based on actual meter readings—is reflected in
