Jones has confidence in Warriors' efforts

This will be the first Triton sectional for Wawasee head coach Mike Jones. How does he think his team will fare? “I have confidence the kids will make every effort,” he said. Warsaw won the Northern Lakes Conference with a record of 6-1, Wawasee being the only team to beat the Tigers in conference action. Right now, Jones is working on all phases of the game fro offense to defense. He hopes to have his five starters work more as a team with each player performing his particular role. “We have certain talents and certain inabilities,” the coach said. “We’re trying to make the most of our talents and try to realize and overcome our weaknesses.” Jones added, “Were looking for two basic ingredients — pride and purpose.” Two of Wawasee’s strong points this year are senior lettermen Mark Lantz and Mark Simpson.
