February 13 Vandalism reported at local business. Dog complaint lodged at Dewart Lake. Stray dog in custody of resident. Information requested on gun permit. Dog complaint on North Harrison Street. Salt needed on Oak Street. Wrecker needed on Noble County Line and Backwater Road. Car in ditch on ElkhartKosciusko County Line. February 14 Resident of Pinecrest locked out of home, needs assistance. Caller requested to talk with probation officer. Complaint on cars parked in alley for hours. CB’er advised Crazy Corners intersection very slick. High speed chase in effect from Goshen to Syracuse. License check needed on truck which ran another driver off the road on the Syracuse-Milford Road.

Breaking and entering reported uptown business. Day Care Center requests information on ice safety on lake. Breaking and entering, vandalism, at uptown business. Conservation officer advises extreme caution necessary on lake ice as currents running from dam, open in Syracuse. CB’er reports car in roadway Crazy Corners. Accident reported at SR 13 and 1200 N. Accident reported at bowling alley location. Dog complaint on North Street. Three cats found along W. E. Long Drive. Accident reported in village. Accident on old road 8 just off SR 13, advised Kosciusko County. Owner reports his car in ditch on Bowser Road, will retrieve in
morning. February 16 Ambulance requested: 4:40 am. Wrecker needed at Railroad Avenue and South Huntington. Ambulance needed. Accident at Medusa and Front Streets. Man locked from car at real estate office. Car hung up in hole on North Shore Drive, street repairs needed badly. Wrecker needed immediately. February 17 Car chase through town. Wrecker needed in village. Hit-skip accident reported. Subject requested information regarding snowmobiles on lakes, advised hazardous in areas. Semi blocking traffic in uptown Syracuse. Information needed on buying license plates. Subject reported vehicle blocking drive for two days, need same moved Traffic control needed for ambulance. Vehicle abandoned near fish

Complaint of three German Shepherds in Wawasee Heights, tearing up garbage and scattering in yards. Vehicle reported stolen by county, from Leesburg early Sunday morning. Above report cancelled, vehicle retrieved. Minor dent put in garbage can

February 20 Car stuck in alley Party on station advises two subjects walking north on SR 13, south of tracks, 6:10 a.m. Disabled horse reported on SR 13 between junctions. Resident reported individual driving on card board plate. Assist needed for subject, refuses to leave. Ambulance needed for back injury. Arrested Sunday night Syracuse police officer Dan Gallmeier arrested two men Sunday night in the alley between Washington and High Streets in Syracuse. Walter T. Winkler, 36, r 1 North Webster, was ticketed for driving while under the influence and public intoxication. Cited for public intoxication was Richard C. Hurlbert, 33, Goshen.
