Leesburg teenager arrested fortheft Harry Lee Dillinger. 18. r 2 Leesburg, was arrested by Kosciusko County Police, Monday, Dec. 18, on a warrant from Kosciusko Superior Court. He was charged with the theft of items from the Alfred Kuhn home, r 2 North Webster, on October 22. He is charged with entering the home and stealing a 14-inch black and white TV valued at $79, a .22 caliber rifle worth SSO, a sixamplifier battery charger worth $22, a 10-amplifier battery charger valued at S2B and other various items. December 12 Subject requested check on vehicle parked behind business house uptown. Ambulance requested for small child who swallowed rat poison. Subject advised children playing on ice at Railroad Park. Missing dog report logged. Advised signs down at Baltimore and Huntington Streets. Woman jailed Shirley Hackworth, 36, Milford, was jailed in the Kosciusko County jail over the week end. She was charged for driving under the influence of intoxicating beverages, public intoxication, driving without a license and was released on SIOO bond.
License plate check requested by officer. December 13 Thief reported during night at a Milford business. ■ & Advised dog SR 13, area of market. Man on station regarding stolen article. Sheepdog reported missing, dog found, and owner claimed same. CB report of children sitting on ice in middle of dam. Subject saw in paper of lost white eat, believes to have the cat. Webster advised VW bus headed north on SR 13, wanted by Fort Wayne police. December 14 Two reports were received of three youths skating at dam site with open water three foot from them. Businessman reports threat made on his life. Rural Syracuse man reported hiting deer on CR 29. Light on at lift well, Wawasee Village. Woman reported hearing noises in her garage and is alone. Dam has been opened to lower lake level.

Security check requested in town at business house, suspicious characters. Owner reports dog missing, part Bassett dog. Vehicle reported in ditch just south of Sleepy Owl, subject northbound on foot. Black van on South Huntington reported as road hazard, checked out by officer and is not a hazard. Assistance requested on bad check. Lady brought dog to station for pound. December 16 Lady locked keys in vehicle uptown, needs assistance. Horses running loose on Chicago Street, captured and returned to owner a short time later. December 17 Check requested on parked vehicle within city limits, time: 4:07 am. Car window reported broken at a Syracuse auto dealer.

Boys home at Syracuse The Frost Foundation for Boys, Inc., is a group home for boys Ray and Cheryl Frost have started in Syracuse. They will be holding an open house for interested citizens of the community the first week of January. At top, left, six of the eight boys living at the home are shown.
