John VanLue June 13. 1930— Dec. 17. 1978 Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. today (Wednesday) for John R VanLue, 48, 155 North Shore Drive, Syracuse. Death came at 2:55 a.m. on Sunday, shortly after his admission to Goshen Hospital, and was due to a heart condition. Born at Rochester on June 13, 1930, a son of Orvan and Mildred (Amick) VanLue, he had resided in the Syracuse community for the past 16 years moving from

Akron. He was married on December 3. 1950 atCipton to the former Eloyce Brinegar, now a Syracuse school teacher, and she survives. Mr. VanLue was the Heyde Station manager at Syracuse, and a member of Grace Lutheran Church. He was a former scout master at Syracuse and was associated with the Syracuse Drum and Bugle Corps. He served with the Marine Corps, during the Korean War. In addition to the widow, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Stephen (Diane) Elliott of Syracuse; three sons, Don VanLue. Dave VanLue, and Doug VanLue. all of Syracuse; two grandchildren; one sister. Rebecca Sue Kerr, Orient. Ohio, and a brother. William Joseph VanLue of Mailand, Fla. Rev. His wife, the former Elsie Wagoner, to whom he was married on November 25, 1935, preceded him in death in 1977, He was owner-operator of Webster Machine Co. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Danny (Billie Sue) Sicks of North Webster; two sons, Jim Harris and Joe Harris, both of North Webster; five grandchildren; and three brothers, Walter. Ernest and Loren, all of Fort Wayne. Friends may call at the Harris Funeral Home from 3-5 and 7-9 on Wednesday. Services will be held at the funeral home at 1 p.m. on Thursday with Rev. Jimmie Halloman officiating. Interment will be in North Webster cemetery.
