Mary Jo was allowed to stay with her during labor, a luxury, say Plan officials, doctors are simply unable to afford in routine deliveries. During pregnancy and delivery, midwives try to alter conventional routines to make their patients more comfortable. Mrs. Nelson says Mary Jo let her sit up through much of labor and bring her children to the pre-natal examinations. Dr. Harkness adds: “One facet of the program not to be underestimated is the woman to woman relationship. “We have discovered that mid-

FROM THE MINISTERS DESK: The first real snowfall of the winter always reminds us of the hymn which soys, Wash me and I shall be whiter than snow." How thankful we are for His Love and Grace that we might be mode new again. Are you making your maximum effort to be in attendance at each service of the church? Are you making your maximum effort to invite and bring with you your friends and neighbors? As we near the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ let us remember that His birth is of little help to those who have not themselves been reborn into His Body and remade into His image. Our task, to bring the gospel to all by bringing all to Christ, is not only continuing but is more imperative now than ever before. The degeneration of moral values, the desperate need of people for love and worth, the nearness of Christs coming and many other factors compel us to do our best to share Christ with the world before this generation passes.
