1 YEAR AGO, NOV. 23,1977 Kosciusko County Plan Commission began a branch in Syracuse Town Hall with Daniel W. Richard serving as director. Steven Hoopingarner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Stan Hoopingarner, won a trip to the National 4-H Congress to be held November 25December 2 in the Conrad Hilton Hotel, Chicago. A family Thanksgiving supper was held at the Syracuse Church of God with 125 in attendance. A son was born to Mr. and Mrs. Richard W. Dunlap, r 1 Pinecrest Mobile Home Court, Syracuse, on Friday, November 18.

In the final analysis, every piece of property is different. Basically, there are three methods of arriving at a value estimate. 1. Comparison. A comparison is made os to price, value, and location in relation to other properties in the same neighborhood. 2. Reproduction Cost. How much would it cost to reproduce the structure? Add to this the value of the land and deduct for depreciation. 3. Capitalization. This is used

Syracuse lost to Leesburg, 19 to 16, in a game played at Leesburg last Friday evening. Yesterday, Dan Klink, township trustee, received in advance of the December distribution of the money, $2,000, so that school teachers can be paid. C. D. BARNES RECOVERING Mr. and Mrs. C. D. Barnes, Milford, are staying with their son, Jim Barnes, at Pontiac, Mich. The elder Barnes underwent surgery earlier this month in a Pontiac Hospital. He is reportedly recovering.
