Wawasee varsity football players were honored at an awards night Monday evening. Nov. 13, at the high school. Andy Brown received the most valuable player award and Mike Clark was the outstanding defense player Both Brown and Clark were co-captains of the Warriors football team. Rusty Morrison was named the most outstanding lineman Seniors who have received chevrons were: Dan Andrews, Craig Batchelor. Phil Beer. Andy Brown. Mike Clark. D Fry 155, R Hively 170 Wawasee to open season Wawasee will _ open its basketball season on Saturday night at Carroll High School. The junior varsity game will get underway at 6:45 p in. with the varsity tip off set for 8 pm Tickets will be sold at the south side of the gym and will be $1.50 each. The Warrior fan buses will leave Milford at 5:15 p.m., Syracuse at 5:30 p.m. and North Webster at 5:45 p.m. Students should pay drivers 50 cents on boarding the buses. At Home Tuesday The Warriors will open their home season at 6:30 p.m. next Tuesday, Nov. 21, when they host the Falcons from Fairfield. The varsity contest is slated for 8 p.m. Tickets are $1.50. They will be pre-sold at Wawasee for high school students for $1 and tickets for students in K-eight are $1 when they are accompanied by their parents. The buses will leave from the Milford and North Webster Junior High Schools at 6:15 p.m. Students are to pay the drivers 25 cents.

NO JOGGING PROGRAM ON THANKSGIVING DAY The adult walk-jog facilities are available on Tuesday only for the week of November 20. The school will be closed on Thursday due to Thanksgiving. The class begins at 7 p.m. and is being held at the Syracuse Junior High School gym. Those interested in joining the program should contact Richard Wysong at the adult education offices at Wawasee High School.

R BESE 6 T ON TO STATE — Nancy Amos, senior at Wawasee High School, took first in diving at the girls swimming sectional at Elkhart Central High School last week. Setting a sectional record with 430.95 points, she will be competing in state finals this week end. Also traveling to the state for Wawasee will be Tracy Kinker, junior.

Both girls competed in sectional action last week end at Elkhart Central High School Nancy, senior, won the sectional in diving running up 430.95 points, a sectional record She also captured the Northern Lakes Conference championship This season, the diver won nine out of 11 meets. Tracy Rinker, junior, took seventh place with a score of 353.20. She also took fourth in the Northern Lakes Conference. In 1976. Tracy placed fourth in state competiton. Also scoring for Wawasee were Boody Brewer, fifth in 50 and 100 yard freestyle; Laura Kroh. fourth in 500 freestyle; and Tammi Eby,-sixth in 100 yard freestyle. Overall, the Warriors took sixth place in the sectionals with a score of 108 Elkhart Central, Warsaw and Elkhart Memorial captured the top three spots.
