EVIL SPIRITS ARE NOT CONFINED

alloween has come down to us in one form or another since the days of the Druids, and has evolved all the way from a pagan religious rite concerning the souls of the dead to a night of spooky fun and frolic for costumed children of all ages. Yet the very spirit of evil that provides the playful atmosphere of Halloween can sometimes get a serious hold on all of us if we let it, and this can happen at any time of the year. It shows its ugly face in the form of any immoral or dishonest thing we do. By attending the Church of our choice, we are directed away from the witches’ brew of temptation; and the spirit of evil will then be relegated tothe ghostly realm of Halloween, which is the only place where it belongs.

rboughfe From The Living Bible Then all mankind will see me, the Messiah, coming in the clouds with great power and glory. And I will send out the angels to gather together my chosen ones from all over the world — from the farthest bounds of earth and heaven. Now, here is a lesson from a fig tree. When its buds become tender and its leaves begin to sprout, you know that spring has come. And when you see these things happening that I’ve described, you can be sure that my return is very near. Mark 13:26-29 Suddenly. as they were drinking from these cups, they saw the fingers of a man’s hand writing on the plaster of the wall opposite the lampstand. The king himself saw the fingers as they wrote. His face blanched with fear, and such terror gripped him that his knees knocked together and his legs gave way beneath him. “Bring the magicians and the astrologers!” he screamed. “Bring the Chaldeans! Whoever reads that writing on the wall, will become the third ruler in the kingdom!” Daniel 5:5- 7
