Obituaries
Richard Sorg dies of heart attack Monday
Richard Sorg, 42, 21774 CR 38 Goshen, son of Mrs. Arthur Baumgartner, Milford, died of an apparent heart attack, Monday evening at 9 p.m. He was dead on arrival at the Goshen Hospital. He was born on June 19,1936, to Richard W. Sorg, who died in 1959, and Mrs. Arthur (Helen Rassi Sorg) Baumgartner. On April 22,1955, he married Kenlyn Swihart, who survives. He was the president of Sorg Dodge, Inc., of Goshen and was a member of the First Brethren Church, Goshen. Surviving besides his wife and mother are three daughters, Mrs. Ken (Kathy) Coffman, Goshen, Tammy and Susan, at home; one grandson; one brother, Dennis, Goshen; the step father; and two step brothers, Roger and Steven Baumgartner, both of Milford. Friends may call this afternoon and evening ( Wednesday), at the Yoder Culp Funeral Home, Goshen. Funeral services will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in the S’F'irst Brethern Church with Rev. Spencer Gentle officiating.

Edgar D. Fisher Oct. 31,1901 — Sept. 29,1978 Edgar D. Fisher, 76, 2745 Roosevelt Ave., Elkhart, brother of Mrs. Lucille Stokey, Leesburg, died Friday, Sept. 29, at 4:35 p.m. at Fountainview Place, Elkhart. He was born on October 31, 1901, in Benton County. In 1962 he married Ella R. Losee who survives. He was the retired owner of Ed’s Appliance Store and an employee of Saint Joseph Valley Bank. He was also a member of the Elkhart Lions and the Golden Age Club, Edwardsburg, Mich. He attended the Northside Baptist Church. Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Patricia Hibschman, Elkhart and Mrs. Louis (Emma Gene) Procaccino, Tuscon, Ariz; two sons, James, Tucson and Richard, Elkhart; a step-daughter, Mrs. James (Mirna) Hatcher and a stepson, Ervin Losee, both of Elkhart; eight grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren; one greatgrandchild; two sisters, Mrs. Pauline Fawley, Warsaw and another sister in Fort Wayne and two brothers, Leo, Angola and Kenneth, Indianapolis. Her room has been changed to 587. ESTEP IMPROVING Joe 0. Estep, Milford, was taken to the Goshen Hospital over the past week end for what was thought to be a heart attack, although doctors have now diagnosed that he had an acute bronchitis attack. When he was taken to the hospital he was admitted into the intensive care unit. He is now out of the ICU and in room 312 and doing a lot better. He will be in the hospital for a few more days. Florence St., Bourbon, mother of Mrs. Howard (Hilda) Mock of Syracuse, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Millwood Christian Church in Bourbon. Rev. Robert Morgan and Rev. Gary Meaders officiated. Burial was in Stony Point cemetery. Mrs. Harman died at 1:20 p.m. Saturday at Parkview Hospital, Plymouth. She had been in failing health for the past several months. . She was born in Elkhart County July 30, 1890, to Calvin and Etta (Andrews) Buss. On November 6, 1909 she was married to Walter Harman. He died November 6, 1967. She had lived on a farm near Etna Green for 49 years, and for the last seven years, had lived in Bourbon. Mrs. Harman was a member of Millwood Christian Church and the Progressive Homemakers Club in the Mount Tabor community. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Mock of Syracuse, Mrs. Mildred Strang of Union, Mich., and Mrs. Lorain (Rosemary)

She had been failing in health for several years. She was born in Athens on March 8, 1888, to Ancil and Emmeline Bryant. On February 24, 1906, she was married to Charles Clark. He died October 13,1960. Mrs. Clark was a member of the Southside United Methodist Church, Wabash. (Phyllis) O’Brian, Leesburg, died September 25 at the Belle Fourche Health Care Center, Belle Fourche, S. D. She was bom July 28, 1893, in Leesburg, to Albert and Mary Frederickson. She had lived in Indiana until 1919 when she married John C. O’Brian and then moved to the Mona area in Wyoming, returning to Indiana in 1927. In 1946 they moved back to Wyoming and then to an area south of Fruitdale in 1956 where they had lived since. Survivors include her husband, John; one daughter, Mrs. Cyril (Bettie) Beeching, Belle Fourche; three granddaughters, Mrs. Steve (Rita) Sowers, Columbia City; Karen Beeching and Rebecca Smith, both of Belle Fourche, S. D.; four greatgrandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Harold (Vera) Berkey, Fort Wayne. Funeral services were held at the Fidler Funeral Chapel in Spearfish, S. Burial was in the Black Hills National cemetery, near Sturgis. A memorial has been established for the Northern Hills Nursing Home at Belle Fourche. Mrs. Faye Koher Oct. 26,1894 — Sept. 30,1978 Funeral services for Mrs. Faye (Teeple) Koher, 83, formerly of Syracuse, and mother of Christian Koher and Maurice Koher, both of Syracuse, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Harris Funeral Home. Rev. Philip Frew, pastor of Saint Andrew’s United Methodist Church, officiated. Burial was in the Syracuse cemetery. Mrs. Koher died at 1 a.m. Saturday in Goshen Hospital where she was admitted on Thursday. For the last three years she had been a resident of the Strawberry Village Nursing Home in Ligonier. Born in Milford October 26, 1894, she was married to Walter Koher January 9, 1914, at Warsaw. He died in November, 1973. She and her husband were the resident managers of the Kosciusko County Farm during the 19505. She was a member of Saint Andrew’s United Methodist Church. Surviving besides the two sons are three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Lange, 74, was suffering from choking and coughing spells. He had undergone surgery August 15. He was taken to Goshen Hospital in the Syracuse ambulance. At 12:55 p.m. Saturday, Marie LeCount, 83, r 3 Syracuse, was taken to Goshen Hospital in the Syracuse ambulance when she complained of pain in her left arm and chest. Crewmen said she had a history of heart problems. Joanne Hill, 61, r 4 box 74 Syracuse, suffered the possible fracture of her left leg and hip, a cut on her left arm and a large bump below her left elbow when she fell at 1:43 p.m. Friday in her

She was born in Tracy. October 31, 1892, to John and Emma (Gotham) Schoof. On June 29, 1911, she married Howard W. Love, in Tracy. He preceded her in death. Mrs. Love was a member of the Tracy Methodist Church, Tracy and the Order of the Eastern Star of Milford. When crewmen arrived at scene, no patient could be found. At 2 a.m. today (Wednesday), crewmen were called to 330 S. Main St., Syracuse, where Carl Wilkison, 42, was suffering with chest pains that radiated to his left arm. He was taken to Goshen Hospital in the Syracuse ambulance.
