TRAIN HITS SEMI — Pictured above is the 1974 semi-truck belonging to Nathaniel Jones, 31, Cleveland, Ohio. Jones had stopped for a signal light at the intersection of V. S. 8 and SR 15 when a southbound Conrail train crashed into his trailer spilling the contents at 4:15 p.m. Friday, Sept. 15. Jones was not injured but damage was estimated at $20,000 for the trailer and cargo. A railroad sign, also damaged, was valued at SI,OOO.

Fort Wayne woman injured as car skids into yard Damage was set at $75 to a yard owned by Jerry Moore of North Webster, after a car skidded through the yard and hit a utility pole broadside on SR 13, a half mile north of North Webster, on September 9. Injured was Rita Hanni, 29, of Fort Wayne, who received cuts on the back and shoulder, right arm and right hip. She was a passenger in a car driven by her husband, Earl D. Hanni, 28.
