SEPT.. 9,1954 Dr. and Mrs. Carey Parrett accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Allan Rudd, of Warsaw, were at Shelbyville, Tenn., from Thursday to Sunday evening, attending the Walking Horse celebration. During their abscence Mrs. Parrett’s mother. Mrs. Earl Clayton of Greenfield. O.» stayed with the Parrett children. Mr. and Mrs N. R. Kirkdorffer and son Charles, Gary, were week end visitors of Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Brittson. Pitt Bowers while the others enjoyed fishing at Waubee lake. 30 YEARS AGO, SEPT. 16. 1948 Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Miller, who for the past several weeks have been visiting their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Miller at Seattle. Washington, will start home September 15. Mr. and Mrs Edward Foreman returned home last Thursday after a week's vacation at Richmond, They visited their son and daughter-in-law. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Foreman, and attended the state fair three days. They also spent some time at Windfall, Indiana with their son, Dwight Foreman and family. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Graff and family. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bird, Mary Ellen Bray and Nancy Campbell enjoyed a fish fry with Mr. and Mrs. John Augsburger at their lake cottage Sunday evening. 60 YEARS AGO, SEPT. 12.1918 Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Arnold, who own property on'North Henry street, started for central Oregon Saturday morning. For a number of years Mr. and Mrs. Arnold were living in Cuba, and when they moved to Northern Indiana, it proved to be too cold and both lost their health. They spent last winter in Evanston, Illinois and this summer in the home in Milford but now will go to central Oregon for the winter at least. We are sorry to have Mr. and Mrs. Arnold leave our community The Overall Factory at Milford is soon to close another large government order. There are now thirty ladies employed in the factory and we learn there are to be 10 more machines installed.
