Syracuse youth cited following 2-vehicle crash Damage was estimated at S9OO in a two-vehicle mishap at Pike and Third Streets in Goshen at 11:32 p.m. Saturday and one person was treated at Goshen Hospital and released. James E. Oiler, 16, of Syracuse was cited by Goshen police for failure to yield the right of fray in the mishap. Oiler, driver of a 1971 Dodge, was westbound on Pike and attempted a left turn on Third when his vehicle collided with an eastbound 1974 Chevrolet operated by Pamela Smith, 18, Wolcottville. Autumm Burnham of Topeka, a passenger in the Smith vehicle, was treated and released at Goshen Hospital after suffering a. muscle spasm. Approximately five minutes following the accident, Steven
Knowles, 17, Topeka, turned from Pike onto Third and looked back at the accident scene after which his 1962 Buick struck a parked 1972 Ford belonging to Carl J. Kelley of North Third. Damage in that accident resulted in $1,200. The group will ride buses to the Russell Slayton farm to see drilled and row soybeans with a variety of plant populations and herbicide controls. A pork chop lunch will be served on the grounds.
