Pony league wins 3-2 Milford traveled to North Webster last Tuesday for the last league game of the year. Milford won 3-2. Both teams played good defense. Milford pitchers had a shut-out going into the seventh. Rick Pena walked the first batter and then gave up two singles and another base on balls to make the score 3-2 with two outs. Pena struck out Spry for the victory Milford only had six hits with Pat Speicher and Mark Greenwood s doubles and a single each Mike LeCount and Ross Dahlstrom

Eash of r 2 Wawasee Heights, Syracuse, made a hole in one at the Big Boulder Golf Course in Milford last Saturday. Eash hit his ace on the 110yard par three number seven.

At Maxwelton Maxwelton Ladies had a busy week. On Tuesday, July 18, some were guests at South Shore. Wednesday was Maxwelton's guest day. Luncheon was held at the Beacon where each guest was given a hole-in-one. (The idea was Bev Buletty’s, who was unable to be there). Prizes were awarded to Low’ Gross — first, Lois Coppes; second, Pat Latta; third, Jane Dudenski; fourth, Amber Christenson: fifth, Bonnie Cantwell. Low Net — first, Naome Mick; second, Jan Morganthaler; third, Mildred Lotter, Karen Aker. Judy Bohnsock and Tom Miller; fourth, Jan Lant; fifth, Izzy Kilmer. Low Putts — first. Joan Gray, Ilene Zumbrum, Louise Harlan, Ollie Hagan; second, Doris Singer; third, Velma Miller; fourth, Ellen Caudell; fifth, Phil Maresh. Best Ball was play of the day for guest day, and team winners were Margee Purdum, Jan Lant, Mary Jane Knudson and Doris Singer. Longest drive and closest to the hole were won by Ilene Zumbrum. Medal Play was play of the day for Maxwelton members. Winners were Low Gross, Marge Kavanaugh; Low Net, Doris Sedgwick and Mary Jane Knudson; Low Putts, Marge Newcomer. On Thursday, July 20, some Maxwelton members attended the Maplecrest Invitational and Janet Hays won Low Gross in CFlight, and Mary Jane Knudson won Low Putts in B-Flight.
