Milford All-Stars over Leesburg The Milforcl All-Star boys and girls teams continued their winning ways by defeating Leesburg by scores of 27-4 and 252 respectively. In boys action, Milford smashed a record nine home runs, including two each by Ron Schwartz and Tony Blackburn and one each for Brad Weisser. Tim Clever. Mike Hernandez, Ryan Wuthrich and Brian Henson. The Trojans are now 11-2 overall, and 4-0 in the Land O Lakes action. -s, BATTERY TAKEN Earl Russell, r 3 Syracuse, Tippecanoe Lake, told Kosciusko. County police that a S4B battery was taken last week from his boat. The boat was located at the Tippecanoe Boat Co., on the north shore of Tippecanoe Lake.

MAX GOLDEN HAS HOLE-IN-ONE A hole-in-one was made at the Maxwelton Golf Course Sunday. July 9. by Max Golden of Ligonier, it was reported by Bill Krugman, assistant pro. The shot was at the eighth hole. 183 yards long, and Golden was using a sixiron. Witnesses were the other players, Doug Vanette and Jim Smoots, also of Ligonier. Krugman said he understood it was Golden’s first hole-in-one.

Milford Pony League stopped by Syracuse, tops Webster

Milford hosted Syracuse on July 4 with Syracuse winning 1712 in a B team game. Both teams olayed good ball and the game was close all the way. Syracuse tied the game in the seventh and won in an extra inning. Detert, Deister and Workman had doubles and Smith, Hare and Price all had singles for Syracuse. For Milford, Eric Beer had a triple and Vince Price and Jay Auer had doubles while Dick Doll, Jeff Richards and Juan Roe had singles. Milford Over Webster Milford hosjpd North Webster last Thursdaywith Milford on top 13-9. Milford jumped out early in the game with seven runs the first inning and North Webster couldn’t catch up. Pat Speicher hit two home runs in the game and a triple and Greg Weisser had a double. Mike LeCount. Mark Greenwood, Rick Pena, Eric Beer and Brian Goshert all had singles. Pat Speicher was the winning pitcher with Rick Pena in relief. Parker and Roberts had doubles and Butcher and Harris had singles for North Webster.
