Unemployment rate declines
The unemployment rate for the 60 counties outside the Standard Metropolitan Statistical Areas dropped for the fourth consecutive month, according to the Indiana Employment Security Division. The seasonally adjusted rate declined from 5.8 per cent in April to 5.3 per cent in May. Kosciusko county had 1,050 unemployed workers in April, and 1,150 unemployed workers in May, an increase of 100. The rate of unemployment rose from 3.7 in April to 3.9 in May. Joe E.
