Milford stops Fairfield 11 -3 Milford was host to Fairfield last Tuesday in the Pony League and won 11-3 behind the pitching of Pat Speicher and Koss Dahlstrom The game was tied up-to the fifth, then Milford started tbyhit. A triple by Mike LeCount got things going. Jay Auer, Rick Pena and Mark Greenwood, all had doubles, and Pat Speicher; Bfian Goshert and Greg Weisser, had singles. Milford gave up only three hits to Fairfield —two to Immel and onetoFiel Milford is now tied with Syracuse in first place in the league with four wins and one loss. . j The next game .will be with North Webster at Milford at, 6 pm. Thursday. Milford will host Akron at 6 p.m. on Friday.

Take part in Special Olympics at ISU
A number of Lakeland youth participated in the Speical Olympics events at Indiana State University, Terre Haute, June 26I 28. There were 2.500 taking part. A special parade of all contestants took place on Monday, opening the Olympic events. Each group had different outfits. • There was a carnival for the children on Monday night. Elementary Participants A total of 22 area youths of Diane Elliott’s special class at Syracuse took part in. the event. They were accompanied on he trip by Pat Bartow, Tammy McCulloch, Jill Grindle and Alice Steffen, who helped coach and get them to their areas. Results show the following winners.
