Anchor Man is new store in Village Dick Meyers of Dick Meyer’s Anchor Man Casualwear, located at the south edge of Wawasee Village, has been in the menswear field for some 25 years in both Fort Wayne and Indianapolis. Quite often his time spent when not working was in the Syracuse-Wawasee area. Finally he and his wife, Barbara, decided to combine the two. Hence they started looking for a location. The Anchor Man was designed to be a quality men’s casualwear store, but also offers young men’s clothing and a limited amount of women’s wear. The new store opened in April of this year. / While they are just now in the midst of summer, new fall fashions are arriving . . So, while you’re in for summer wear, you can get a sneak preview of what’s to be for fall. It’s a “great little store.” The Country Mouse is an interesting place to browse K Numerous new items have been added to The Country Mouse since it opened its doors in April of 1977. Cape Cod decor houses My Store My Store, 101 Pickwick Place, Syracuse, was founded December 10, 1973, by J. Philip Oppenheim. Miriam Speicher serves as the firm manager. My Store is an extension of Oppenheim’s Department Store at North Manchester, and offers a large selection of apparel and bridal fabrics and notions. Also, available is a complete line of yarn and needlework, linens, drapery and upholstery fabrics, all tastefully displayed in an attractive Cape Cod decor. Mrs. Lewis (Mim) Specier says, “Some fine day you’ll come to My Store,” where four regular salespersons, Mim, Gerry Bauer, Amy Speicher and Sherry Smith, are employed; along with Dot Hite, knitting instructor, who offers free instructions every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon from 1 until 3; and Freeda Collins, sewing instructor, who gives free instructions every Wednesday afternoon from.l until 3.
