He may be the owner or a vital engineer,. salesmanager or "sparkplug" who is singularly responsible for forging ahead with new business or products. He may possess rare skills or knowledge. His personal contacts may attract business or he may be a source of the firm's credit or reputation in the field. It seems strange, how so many businesses will insure their physical assets, car, buildings, inventories; all of which can be replaced, and forget completely about protection against the loss of a man who may mean more to the business than the building it is housed in. A very simple solution to this risk is for the company to insure the life of its "key man" to protect against eventual economic loss until a suitable replacement can be found. **************** This Information Has Been Brought - V - ToYou As A Public Service By First Charter ■ Insurance Agency ImjjSSt P.O. Local swimmers prep for Swim-A-Thon

Local swimmers from the YMCA swim team and the high school swim team will participate in the YMCA Swim-A-Thon on February 4, from noon to 6 p.m. The swimmers will begin canvassing the community this week, seeking sponsors to pay them so much for each length of the pool they swim. The number of lengths they swim will vary with each age group. Coach Pat Burkey will list the maximum number that each swimmer is to swim. Once a swimmer enters the water and begins this swim he will not stop until his assigned number of lengths is completed in a given time period. If a swimmer is unable to complete his assigned number of lengths, the sponsor pays only for those completed. Approximately 106 Swimmers will be participating in the event. They practice five days a week

Warriors fourth in Goshen Invitational

This past week end the Warriors participated in the popular Goshen Invitational. In spite of nagging infirmaries the Warriors managed a respectable fourth place finish. (Seven of the Warriors were less than 100 per cent with colds, flu, or nagging injuries.) Three Warriors made it to the finals — Terry Rinker, Arnold Garza and Hal Hammaker. Wawasee’s 100 pounder Terry Rinker made it 12 in a row against no losses and two back-to-back championships (New Haven 100 pound last week). T.R. pinned Hobeck of Fairfield in 1:11, decisioned Brewer of Fort Wayne Wayne 11-0, and remained unscored upon for the day by beating Gill of Goshen in the finals 10-0. Hal Hammaker (10-2) Warrior’s 126 pounder, had the tougher route to the championship. He drew last year’s sectional and invitational champ, Chupp of Fairfield and defeated him in the first round 8-5. In the second round he defeated Nunn of Fort Wayne Wayne 8-2 and finally captured the 126 pound championship by defeating Sink of Goshen 7-6 in the finals. Arnold Garza (9-3) 121 pound Warrior, captured runner-up honors by pinning Cripe of Fairfield first round, defeating Kacius of Lowell 11-2 in the second round, but had to default in the championship to Bummell of Fort Wayne Wayne. John Beer raised his record to 11-3 with a third place finish at 187 pounds and three pins for the day. Other Warriors and their placings were: Scott Moore and Robby Ladner fourth; Larry Germonprez, Kevin Marose, Phil Beer and Doug VanLue fifth; Wayne Gronendyke sixth; Jim Glon seventh. Team Results Fort Wayne Wayne 177 pts. Goshen 167 pts. Lowell 156 r 2 pts. WAWASEE 143 pts. Fairfield 120 pts. Fort Wayne North 102 pts. Northridge 94 pts. Lakeland 91 pts.

with many of them working out both before and after school. They have continued to be a state contender and placed third at the state meet last year. Their reputation- has prompted invitations from all over the state and even beyond state lines. This will be the third such swim-a-thon. In the past the money has purchased such equipment as a diving board, PA system, starting blocks, trophy case, record books and stop watches. The goal this year is to purchase additional equipment used by the swim teams in the pod and weight training room. The Y is a community family crganization and these swimmers will need community backing to achieve their goal and to help the Y grow and serve the entire community. Just a few cents a length from each sponsor will enable these youth to give something back -by swimming.
