LEGALS NOTICE TO TAXPAYERS CITY OF WARSAW The taxpayers of the City of Warsaw are hereby notified that a petition has been filed by fifty or more owners of taxable real estate located in said City requesting the Common Council of said City to authorize the issuance of bonds of the City In an amount not exceeding the sum of $275,000, for the purpose of procuring funds to be applied on the cost of acquisition, construction and furnishing of a new fire station, together with the Incidental expenses in connection therewith and on account of the issuance of bonds therefor. Remonstrances against the issuance of said bonds may be filed with the Common Council by owners of taxable real estate In the manner and within the time provided by I.C. 6-1.1 20.4. Taxpayers of said City are further notified that the Common Council did, on the 16th day of January, 1978, adopt an ordinance determining to issue the bonds of the City in the amount of $275,000, for the purpose of procuring funds to be used as above stated, including incidental expenses in connection therewith. Said bonds will mature over a period of approximately ten years from date of issuance, and will bear interest at a rate or rates not exceeding 6 percent per annum (the exact rate or rates to be determined by bidding). Objections to the Issuance of said bonds may be made by ten or more taxpayers filing a petition in the office of the Auditor of Kosciusko County within the time and in the manner provided by statute, which petition, if any, will be heard and considered by the State Board of Tax Commissioners as provided by I.C. 6-1.1-20-5. Reed, Treasurer Warsaw Community Public Library J.lB-F.l Break-ins and thefts being investigated Syracuse and North Webster police are investigating a series of break-ins and thefts to pop machines in the area Friday, Jan. 6. John Van Lue, r 4 Syracuse, told Syracuse police early Friday, Jan. 6, that his pop machine at 300 South Huntington Street, had been vandalised. Nothing was taken from the machine. Damage was reported to the lock area. Another vandalism was reported by Jay Brower, Klink’s Supermarket, Syracuse. The lock had been knocked out of the pop machine and an undetermined amount of money taken. Doug Canplin, of Augsburger’s Super-Valu Store, Syracuse, also reported a pop machine break-in. The lock had been knocked out of the machine and an undetermined amount of money taken. North Webster police report that a total of sls-S2O in small change was stolen out of pop machines located outside the Arco Service Station, Augsburger’s Super-Valu Store and White’s Mobile Service Station, all on SR 13 in North Webster. Minor damage was also reported to the machines. These pop machine vandalism reports from Syracuse and North Webster coincide with a series of pop machine break-ins in Warsaw. Police believe that the thefts are connected. Owners of pop machines are reminded to empty the cash boxes in their machines every night.

Restriction ordered Glen R. Miller, 20, 3012 Springfield Drive, Goshen, was fined S3B and ordered to make restitution after an incident February 8, 1977, when he allegedly struck Bruce L. Clark, r 3 Syracuse. Miller plead guilty to disorderly conduct recently in Goshen City Court in the incident. Miller supposedly struck Clark during an altercation with several Wawasee High School students returning home from a concert at Concord. Clark suffered four broken teeth, police said. The incident occurred in the McDonald’s Restaurant lot, 1706 Elkhart

Road. Miller and a companion, Larry M. Lewallen, 19, also of 3012 Springfield Drive in Goshen, were charged with assault and battery. The charge against Miller was reduced to disorderly conduct and the charge against Lewallen was dismissed last August 17. CB stolen from Milford man's vehicle A reported theft of a 23-channel CB radio Wednesday night, Jan. 11, was given to Warsaw police by Nelson Collins, Jr., 41, of Milford. The CB was stolen from his
vehicle while he was attending a church located along Weber St., in Warsaw. The radio was valued at SSO. Collins returned to his vehicle
