The calf is pure bred, using a new technique for cattle production. An egg from a good blood line heifer and semen from a good bull are placed inside a donor heifer. This technique enables a good heifer to produce up to 10 offspring per year,’instead of the usual one, by the use of several donor heifers. Dr. T. A. Miller said he believes the heifer calf is the first of its kind to be delivered in this area.

The photo is autographed by Miss Lillian who was at the Depot when the Keslers were. It reads, “To Betty and Dick, Happy New Year, Lillian Carter, 12-31-77.” Donn visited Billy’s and the ladies enjoyed touring the shops in the small Georgia town.
