NORLANDERS PURCHASE ‘NEWS* — Robert and Renee Norlander of NUeo, Mich.. have purchased The Akron-Mentone News from Loren and Ana Sheets and assumed ownership oa October X*. The “News** is a combination of two puhUeatioas, Hie Akron News and The Mentone News. The Sheetses purchased The Akron News from Claude and Eater Billings in IN2 and The Mentone News from Artley and Ruth Cultam ks 1964. The papers were comNaedjMN* with the conversion of offbet printing. The sale invohesonfvthe newspaper with the Sheetses retaining ownership of the Job shop now known as "The Local Printer.** Beth will continue to work out of the same office in Akroa with the Norlanders also planning to continue operating the Mentone office. The Norlanders are both graduates of Central Michigan University. Mount Pleasant. Mich. They were previously creditors and publishers with his brother and sister-in-law of the Mille Lacs Messenger at Isle. Minn. They plan to move to the area after the first of the year.

Lakeland Girl Scout Council meeting to be held November 12
The annual meeting of the Indiana Lakeland Girl Scout Council, Inc., brill be held on Saturday, Nov. 12, at Das Dutchman Essenhaus, on U.S. 20 near Middlebury. . Each association is entitled to 10 voting delegates. In addition voting privileges are held by association chairman, board members and members of the nominating committee of the council. Everyone is welcome to attend with registration starting at 9:30 a.m Workshops will be from 10 am. until noon. Each workshop will be one hour long, so that a person will have the opportunity to attend two sections. The workshop leaders will be as follows: Songs — Senior Troop 79.
