NEW KING AND QUEEN — Bryan Smith and Diana Lozano were chosen 1*77 Homecoming King and Queen at Wawaxee High School Friday night during half-time activities. Bryan. 17, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Smith of Syracuse. Diana, 17. to the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Losano of Milford. They .were crowned by the I*7* Homecoming King and Queen. Mark Francis and Barb Yoder. Runners-up in the 1*77 competition were Stan Kroh and Kelly Hamman. Stan to the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Kroh of Syracuse and Kelly to the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hamman, also of Syracuse.

North Wood defeats volleyball team By KELLI PRICE Wawasee volleyballers lost to Northwood, there, last Thursday. The varsity lost with scores of 15-13,1-15,10-12 to a tough NorthWood team. Even with excellent performance individually and as a team, the girls lost the match in a dose third game. Outstanding participation was exhibited by L. Spearman's three spikes. M. Salazar’s ace serves, and good sets by T. Welborn and M. Salazar. The junior varsity lost also scoring four against Northwood's 15 in the first game and 8 to their 15 in the second. Super sptkers for the JV were junior B. Skelton and freshman L. Black. PAM SMITH ROLLS 641 Pam Smith of r 2 Syracuse rolled a <4l series at the Wawasee Bowl last Friday night. She had games of 245304 and I*2. Mrs. Smith was bowling in the Friday Night Mixed League when she recorded her first 600 series. Every man is enthusiastic at times. One man has enthusiasm tor thirty minutes — another man has it for thirty days, but it is the man who has it for thirty years who makes a success in life.

Wawasee swimmers lose to LaSalle
By KELLI PRICE At home last Monday, the Warriorette swim team lost for the second time this season to South Bend LaSalle. The meet ended with LaSalle scoring 91 over Wawasee’s 81. The scores were close throughout the meet until LaSalle jumped ahead with the ten winning points at the finish of the evening. Several of the WHS girls placed well with the 100 Freestylers achieveing a clean sweep in their event. Brewer, first, Lowe, second, and Bryant, third, claimed the race. T. Carpenter
AWARD WINNER — Winning the king and queen’s trophy at Homecoming activities last Friday at Wawasee High School was the display, Junior Jaws, by the junior class. Junior Jaws also won the award for the Best Class display. Other award winners were: Most Original. Towering Inferno; Most Appropriate to Theme. Star Wars, the half-time presentation by the high school band; and Best Club. Drama Club.

finished with firsts in the 200 Individual Medley and the 100 Backstroke. B. Brewer's first in the 50 Freestyle and N. Amos's win in diving completed the blue ribbon standings for the Wawasee team. Diver Nancy Amos won the diving competition with a score of 211.85. and a new school record. She broke the record of 210.10 which she had set last season. This loss now totals the Warriorettes at 3-2. They will be seen in action again at Tippecanoe Valley, tonight (Wednesday) at 6:30.
