struggle, with Concord finally breaking on top, after a Wawasee turnover in the second quarter. Todd Hardy coughed up the ball for the Warriors and Concord took advantage, scoring on a oneyard run. The Warriors tied the game in the fourth period on a 27-yard pass play from quarterback Todd Hardy to Kevin Smallwood. Craig Batchelor ran for the twopoint conversion, which proved to be the winning margin. According to coach Mahnensmith, several Warriors made key plays, which contributed to the victory. Craig Batchelor had long runs of 25 and 52 yards, Todd Hardy played an excellent game at quarterback, and Brent Bowen had a key pass reception and also a fumble recovery. Also making key plays were Alan Coy with two fine punts in the last minutes, Fred Avery’s fine defensive game, Jon Cousin’s fine punt snaps, and Mark Dunithan's pass interception in the final three minutes. Despite the individual heroics Mahnensmith stressed that the victory was the result of a fine team effort. The Warriors go after another win when they host West Noble tomorrow (Thursday).
