Molebash was a Cub Scout at Madison school and a member of eagle scout in troop 819. He later joined explorer post 67. He was a member of the Order of the Arrow, the scout honor camper society, was a vigil member of that group and the last lodge chief of the Papakeechie Lodge of the Order of the Arrow.
