the Raider-Ram game. On the ensuing kick-off. Brad Traviolia tied the game with a 65 yard return upping the score to 6 all. Traviolia scored again in the second quarter and the Raiders took a 12-6 lead at halftime. In the second half, Traviolia and Steve Yoder combined on a seven yard touchdown pass making the final score 20-6. In the Packer-Steeler game. Kevin Tracy passed to Ken Weaver for a 45 yard touchdown and then ran 55 yards himself to give the Packers a 12-0 lead at halftime. The Rams got second half touchdown runs -[from Todd McCollouch of 60 and 15 yards to send the game into overtime after being tied 12-12. Kevin Tracy’s one yard plunge won it for the Packers At North Webster last Saturday, the Bears won 20-6 and the Redskins took the Cowboys 18-6. Brian Popenfoose, Jeff Roberts and Scott Barker each scored for the Bears while Charlie Harris sctred for the Vikes for a 20-6 Bears victory. >• Popenfoose scored on a 35 yard run while Roberts scored on a 22 yard romp Barker then scored on a 20 yard screen pass from Popenfoose and Harris made six on a 20 yard run In the Skin-Cowboy game. Nulf started the scoring with a 46 yard run to give the Skins a 6-0 lead. Billy Signorelli tied the score for the Cowboys with a 48 yard run. James Roose put the Skins ahead then and Neil Wilkey finished the scoring going 24 yards with the pigskin and the Redskins won 18-6. Warriorette golfers continue winning ways By KELLI PRICE The Warriorette golfers won last Monday. Sept. 12. at Colonial Oaks Golf Club. Here WHS defeated Carroll High School. Because of rain only five holes were played but still the Wamorettes topped Carroll 119124. Low medalist Shelly Harting helped the team with a score of 28. Victor) - again for the Wawasee team took place on September 14 over Huntington North. The golfers met at Maxwelton Golf Club for the match. Deb Dieterly shot a 46 and led the team to a 221-241 win. The Warriorettes are doing well this season with five wins against one loss. Hopefully they will again win intheir next match with Goshen.
Volleyball victory over Goshen By KELLI PRICE The Wawasee varsity volleyball team beat Goshen, at Goshen, last Thursday. The Warriorettes won it in two games with scores of 15-12, 15-9. Lorene Spearman led the team with three winning serves. She also contributed in winning spikes. All of the girls made good sets and exhibited excellent teamwork. This victory now brings the girls to a conference record of 11. The junior varsity lost a close match in three games. WHS captured the first 15-3 but lost the second and third 13-15, 13-15. Jo Spearman led the effort with three winning serves and Lonnie Black added the only winning spike for the team. The next battle for Wawasee will be when the Warriorettes meet Concord, here, on September 22. A man is about as big as the things that make him angry. .«

The meeting was brought to order by vice president David Engelberth. The pledges to the American and 4-H flags were led by David Engelberth. Devotions were read by Dawn Engelberth. The treasurer’s report was read by Lori Rhoades and the secretary report was given by Lynn Hathaway. Old and new business was
discussed. It was decided to go bowling in October. Sunday, Oct. 3, is 4-H' Sunday. It will be celebrated by painting the windows of businesses in North Webster. Songs were led by Linda Engelberth and Jill Rhoades gave a health and safety report. Linda gave a demonstration on how to make foam rubber roses. Lynn Hathaway led the group in recreation. Refreshments were served by Linda and Dawn Engelberth. Two new members attended the meeting. They were Carla Mayo and Rita Ott. The October meeting will be held in the Rhoades home. Warrior runners make fine showing in invitational By MARK STIFFLER Despite losing two matches last week the Wawasee cross country team made a fine showing at the West Noble Invitational held last Saturday. On Tuesday the runners lost to Rochester 35-24 at home. Kevin Gilbert came in first for the team. Two days later the Warriors went to Tippecanoe Valley and lost a squeaker 28-27. Saturday Cam Boyer had the spotlight as he was the reserve champion in his division. Brian Rosebrook turned in a fine performance as he finished 11th out of 110 runners in the freshman division. Kevin Gilbert was 13th out of about 115 participants in the senior division. The team took on Goshen and North Wood yesterday (Tuesday) and they will take on Columbia City tomorrow.
