Home Guardian available at Todd Realty Home Guardian, an insurance program that protects against unexpected losses due to certain major structural defects, is now available to buyers of used housing in the Syracuse and Wawasee area. This announcement comes from Joseph K. Todd, owner of Todd Realty. Home Guardian also protects against operational failures of a home's major mechanical equipment. Todd Realty is the first local real estate brokerage firm to participate in the Home Guardian program. Todd explained, “The HOW (Home Owners Warranty) Program, an insured warranty established by the National Association of Homebuilders, is available to protect buyers of newly constructed homes, but until Home Guardian, coverage on existing houses was very limited.’’ He went on to point out that buyers of non-protected properties often try to persuade the seller or one of the real estate brokers involved to accept responsibility for a problem that “we weren’t even aware of when the house was sold.” The Home Guardian Policy is underwritten by Minnehome Insurance Company of Tulsa, Okla. Additional information can be obtained by contacting Todd Realty. i> JOINS STAFF — The Papera Incorporated has accepted Fairfield High School’s program of on the job training for interested students. KCH to become an evaluation center

Beginning October 1, a new service at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw, will begin. The hospital will be part of a pacemaker evaluation center. Heart patients with pacemaker implants, which need continuing follow-up, may have the units monitored and evaluated at KCH. The hospital will operate as a satellite station, with the base at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. The service will be rendered from the KCH cardio-pulmonary department, headed by Ron Phillips. An initial check will have to be made at Luthem Hospital by each participant. Following check-ups will be done at KCH, using telephone lines to transmit heartbeats to the center in Fort Wayne. The center, at Lutheran Hospital, will then return a report on the condition of the pacemaker. Rather than take two or three hours of the patient's time, for the cost of a phone call and the two to five minutes of transmission. time, the evaluation Syracuse driver in auto accident A Syracuse driver plus a Goshen man were involved in a two-car minor traffic accident in Baugo Township at 2:40 p.m. Last Wednesday.
