letter of consent will have to be sent to all the towns making up the council. At least four letters of consent will now have to be returned, ratifying Hall’s appointment, to make it official. Nine introduced Hall’s name.to the council. He said Hall is “fair" and is interested in zoning and in zoning problems. Nine also said Hall would make a good appointment because he lives across from Syracuse Lake and appreciates lake problems. Nine added that Hall is not biased in any way “He looks at things with an open mind," he said Hall has been a permanent resident of Syracuse for 23 years. He worked for an oil company for over 20 years and presently works in the mobile home and RV industry. Mrs Mason was the other name considered for the appointment. She has lived in Kosciusko County all her life and works at R. R. Donnolly's in Warsaw Mrs Mason, who was present at the meeting, said “I have become pretty well acquainted with zoning laws in this area and in the county." Nine said he personally feels Mrs Mason would not make a good appointment, due to the lawsuits she has been and is involved with, many of which have to do with zoning He said, “I really don’t think the council of towns could wholeheartedly

endorse you because of lawsuits.” He said there would be a conflict of interest. Nine also added that he is looking for someone who lives on a lake and someone who lives in Turkey Creek Township. It is for these reasons why he felt Hall would make a good appointment. Hall was unanimously approved by the three present. Copies of the minutes and letters of consent will now’ be sent to all six towns making up the council for final approval.
