Turning crash in Syracuse Stephen C. Reed, 19, r 1 Ligonier, and Samuel K. Pletcher, 38,4112 Bresseau Elkhart, were involved in a two-car collision on South Huntington Street in Syracuse Saturday, Aug. 20 at 7:07 p.m. Reed was traveling south on Huntington Street when he attempted to turn right into the Pacer Service Station. He was then struck in the right side by the car driven by Pletcher who was traveling in the same direction Damage was set by Syracuse police as S3OO to the Reed car and SSO to the auto Pletcher was driving. Milford man is arrested after accident Saturday Arturo Macias, 22, Milford, was arrested following an accident near Warsaw last Saturday night. The vehicle driven by Macias collided with a truck driven by Tom J. Alley, 20, Warsaw. Alley was going east on old road 30, Macias was going west. Macias was charged by county patrolman Alan Rovenstine and Warsaw patrolman Paul Schmitt with public intoxication and driving under the influence. He was booked at the jail and later released on S3OO bond. Damages were listed at SSOO to the Macias vehicle and SBSO to Alley's truck.

NEW PRINTING PRESS — The Papers Incorporated printing plant at Milford has installed a new two-color Japanese-make printing press, called the Hamadastar. The new press, added to the firm’s growing commercial printing department, is capable of printing two colors at one time on a printing surface of 11% by l7 inches at the rate of 8,588 impressions per hour. Lloyd Coy, superintendent of the commercial department, will operate the press and train others in the department in its use and operation. The press, valued at $13,000, is considered one of the flnest commercial presses on the market today.
