Vicki Nyce becomes bride of William Smith July! 31

Wedding vows were exchanged on July 31 at 2 o'clock in the afternoon by Vicki Sue Nyce and William G. Smith. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Nyce of r 1 Milford and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn E. Smith of r 2 Warsaw. A total of 60 persons attended the double-ring ceremony which was preformed by Rev. Orvil Kilmer of Milford. The living room of the bride’s home was decorated in yellow and white streamers. The hallways of the home were also decorated with streamers. Both white and colored bells were used

colored zenias. Dennis Robinson served as best man. The mother of the bride wore a Mexican style dress in yellow. She also wore a corsage of yellow carnations. A reception followed the ceremony. Tammy Avery of Syracuse sored the cake with assistance of Paula Stromer. Karen Criswell and Nancy Wolferman opened the gifts. The bride made and decorated the three-tiered cake with yellow lace and flowers. The top was a heart covered with lace, a white rose and two love doves. Following a short honeymoon to Niles, Mich., the couple is residing at r 1 Milford. The bridegroom is a 1977 graduate of Warsaw High School.

dinner in Syracuse recently by their children and grandchildren in honor of their 40th wedding anniversary. The former Nellie Spencer and Herman Kline were married August 10,1937, in Geneva. They have lived in Syracuse for the past six years. Herman Kline is a carpenter in the Syracuse area. The Klines' children and their spouses include: Jerry and Lynn Kline of Jackson Township, Larry and Sondra Moser of Wanatah and Don and Kay Harley of Syracuse. A total of seven grandchildren also attended. Mrs. Kline was honored with a corsage of carnations. The honored father and husband received a matching boutonniere.

25th band camp concert Friday

Nationally-known directors from throughout the country will converge on Smith-Walbridge Camp, Syracuse, Friday night for the 25th anniversary concert of the band camp. Beginning at 6:30 pan., four bands will present a variety of numbers, with the high school groups being conducted by the guest musicians. Joe Haboush of Lebanon will conduct one of the junior high bands, with Richard Norris of DeKalb handling the other junior high group. They will each present a 20-minute concert, followed by the high school bands, each comprised of about 80 young musicians. Guest conductors will include Mark Hindsley, former director of bands at the University of Illinois; Fred Ebbs, director of bands at Indiana University ; Dr.

Mr. and Mrs. Howard Wright recently returned from a vacation trip to Alaska and California to see their children and families, John, and Johanna Wright Stutzman. Their first air flight took them to Fairbanks, Alaska to visit son John and his wife Barbara. John is stationed at Eillson Air Force Base. While in Fairbanks they saw many of the areas local interests including Mount McKinley State Park, the pipe line and pump station 8, which was blown up a week after their visit. An extended trip by car and camper took them to Ankorage to visit with Mrs. Wright’s nephew, Jerry E. Meredith and family. Over the 4th of July the group went fishing out on the Kenai Pennisula, near Homer, Alaska, on the Cook Inlet. The fishing out on the Kenai Pennisula, near Homer, Alaska, on the Cook Inlet. They sighted many glaciers including the Columbia Glacier at Valdez, FOE Auxiliary to hold flea market Members of the Syracuse Lakeland Ladies Auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 3760, will be holding a flea market August 12, 13 and 14. The market will be held at the FOE building, south of Veterans of Foreign Wars in Syracuse. All proceeds from the sale will go for the organization and institution of the auxiliary.
