Returns from refresher course at Guantanamo Bay

Navy Machinist’s Mate Third Class Clark C. Conley 111, son of Mrs. Edith M. Evam of 113 S. Lake Street, Syracuse, recently returned from refresher training at the naval base, Guantanamo Bam fire near Syracuse A barn fire at the residence of James Haim, WOE and threequarter miles south of 1400 N Syracuse, resulted in S2OO damage Wednesday, July 13. Firemen were called to the scene at 8:56 p.m. Burning trash was the possible cause. A small hole was burned in the roof. Firemen returned to the station at 9:40 p.m.

Conley, a 1974 graduate of Wawasee High School, joined the navy in September of 1974 and is serving as a crew-member aboard the frigate USS Joseph Hewes, homeported in Charleston, S.C.
