Miss Ann Kaiser became the bride of Wesley Bell on Saturday. May 14. The ceremony was held in the Apostolic Christian Church Fellowship Hail. Milford, at 7 p.m. Rev Theo Beer, great uncle of the bride, performed the candlelight ceremony in the presence of 200 guests Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Richard Kaiser, r 2 Milford, and Mr. and Mrs. Dester Bell, North Webster. Grace Bible Church. Syracuse, was the scene of a double-ring wedding uniting Deborah Lynn Strieby of Syracuse and Randall Wayne Scharf, Monroe, Wash, on June 24 at 7 p.m. Rev. David R. Ha if ley, pastor of Grace Bible Church, officiated. Deborah is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald D. Strieby of Syracuse and Randall is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert M. Scharf of Monroe. Wash The bride wore a formal-length gown of white organza with a ’ high necked bodice featuring a bib of Cluny and Venise lace. The dress also featured half bishop sleeves accented with lace caught at the arist with a ruffled cuff and an A-line skirt falling from an empire waistline. Her veil was edged in lace flowing from a laced juliet and was elbow-length. She carried baby's breath, small mums and yellow roses. Cynthia Jean Strieby. sister of the bride, acted as maid of honor. Christine Graff, Syracuse, and Lori Scharf. Monroe. Wash., sister of the bridegroom, acted as bridesmaids. Rev Ross Cook, pastor of the church, officiated at the double ring ceremony The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Peggy Coy of 100 Wood Street, Syracuse. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dean Schwalm of 517 South Fifth Street in Goshen. Colleen, who was given in marriage by her brother-in-law, David Galloway, wore a floorlength ivory gown made of organza with a high ruffle collar and a short over jacket. She wore pearls that her father had given her mother on their wedding day. A beige hat, the same color as the dress, completed her outfit. She carried a bouquet of peach roses, snowdrift pompons, baby’s breath arid greenery. Mrs. David Galloway, of r 2 Syracuse, served as her sister’s matron of honor. She wore a peach floor-length gown and hat and carried peach roses, snowdrift pompons, baby’s breath and greenery. Tim Schwalm, brother of the bridegroom, acted as best man. Ushers included Rick Eyer of r 4 Syracuse and Barry Coy of 100 Wood Street, Syracuse. The bride’s mother wore a floor-length gown of white organza with yellow, peach and green flowers. Mrs. Schwalm’s new mother-in-law wore a yellow floor-length gown of chiffon. Both mothers wore corsages of yellow roses, white daisies and baby’s breath. The altar was decorated with a centerpiece of peach roses, snowdrift pompons, baby’s breath and greenery. Beige bows decorated the church pews. Betty Appenzeller, organist, played the songs “Color My World,” “We’ve Only Just begun’’ and “Wedding Bens.” Reception Follows A reception was held at Mr. and Mrs. Dean Schwalm, 68 North Shore Drive in Syracuse, following the ceremony Jan Parsons catered. Servers were Margaret Leffler and Janet Beam. Cinda Schwalm opened gifts. The couple took a one week honeymoon trip to Gatlinburg. Tenn. They now reside at 531 South Oak Street in Syracuse. Mrs. Schwalm is a graduate of Wawasee High School and a member of Beta Sigma Phi of Syracuse She is employed by the State Bank of Syracuse. The bridegroom is a salesman for

They were accompanied by Miss Cindy Rapp. Pastor Miller’s morning message was “Grace — The only way the Christian life can be fully realized." Rick Rapp led in devotions reading Galatians 5:1-6 and Sargent Gray from the Missionary Tech Team of Long View, Texas, led in prayer. A special program of music was presented Sunday evening by Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Miller and children, Tammy and Steve. They were accompanied by Miss Cindy Rapp. Following services, homemade ice cream and fudge bars and cookies were enjoyed Sargent Gray of Long View. Texas, was a house guest last week of Mr. and Mrs. Max Shively and Dennis. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Brownback of Ozark, Ark., were house guests last week of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Teeple and Jack. The Brownbacks and Mr. Gray were attending the IFCA conference held at Winona last week. Mrs. Elsie Weybright spent several days recently with Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Baker and sons of Stetsonville, Wise. Miss Cindy Schermerhorn has accepted employment in Akron, Ohio. , Mr. and Mrs. John Plank, Sonia, Kathy and Lori Giant and Miss Donna Moser enjoyed a family dinner Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Bickel of Goshen. Nelson Morehouse entertained with a dinner on the 4th of July. Those enjoying the day were Mrs. Lydia Morehouse; Mrs. Edwin Meek, Lorraine and Sharon; Mrs. Roberta Fervida and Diana; Mrs. Glen Morehouse and Georgina; Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Morehouse and Mr. and Mrs. Dale Morehouse. Miss Lorraine Meek returned Saturday night after spending three weeks vacationing with Mr. and Mrs. John Morehouse and Kay in Colorado. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Miller and family of Akron, Ohio, are spending several days with his parents. Pastor and Mrs. Irvin Miller of Warsaw. Mr. and Mrs. Dan Smith and Helena entertained Sunday for Mr. and Mrs. Albert Mathews and Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Morehouse. Randy Wildman left Thursday to take a six-week course at the Winnipeg Bible College in Canada. Mr. and Mrs. Max Shively, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Mathews, and Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Morehouse attended the first annual banquet of the Gospel Echoes Team held Tuesday night at a restaurant near Middlebury. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Lehman and family are camping this week near Pierceton. A picnic was enjoyed Monday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Smith and Helena. Some 16 college age young people were present. The group viewed the fireworks at Syracuse later in the evening. Mrs. Ida Mae Fisch of Grandville, Mich., spent several days with Rev. and Mrs. Howard Kreider of Waubee Lake. Mrs. Fisch is a sister to Rev. Kreider.
Milford residents return from trip Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Replogle and Wilbur Baumgartner of Milford returned to their homes last Sunday following a vacation in the western states. They enjoyed a visit in Denver with Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Loosemore. Mrs. Loosemore is the former Marian Replogle, sister of Oliver Replogle. The Replogles and Baumgartner enjoyed a trip to the Grand Canyon in Arizona, to Hoover Dam and Las Vegas before returning to the Denver area. While in Colorado they toured the US Mint in Denver, the Air Force Academy at Colorado Springs and Central City. 001 By CAROLYN GROVE The Children’s Room checked out a total of 2.382 books in the month of June. On June 20, there were 171 books checked out by the children. This was the largest number of books for one day.
