Eleanor Stiffler of 225 W’ North St., Syracuse, became the bride of David Hillery of 227 N Roosevelt. Warsaw, on Saturday. May 21 The wedding took place in the World Gospel Evangelical Church at Ligonier at 7 o’clock in the evening Rev Hubert Hamman, pastor • of the church, performed the double ring ceremony in the presence of 35 guests. The bride is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Lloyd Mathews of New Paris The tridegroom is the son of Mrs Victor Hillery and K the late Victor Hillery of Warsaw The altar was flanked with bouquets of white gladiolus and pink carnations with fems for greenery Mrs Roger Kunce of Cromwell provided the organ music and sang the solo of "Oh Perfect Love" before the ceremony . The bride and bridegroom. as well as attendants, came in as couples The new Mrs Hillery wore a pink floor-length dress with ribbed knit bodice highlighted with matching lace on the front, stand-up collar and short sleeves The skirt was softly shirred at the front and made of nylon knit The dress featured an empire waist She wore a hairpiece of pink and white pompons She carried a nosegay of pink and white miniature carnations which was accented by baby’s breath and white streamers Mrs Larry Smith, daughter of the bnde, 1101 West wood Dr . I’sbers were Burnet Hale of Syracuse and Robert Prado of Leesburg Mrs Burnet Hale attended the guest book and Miss Tonya Hillery of Warsaw, daughter of the bridegroom, attended the gift book The bride s mother wore a street length dress of pink with green accent Her corsage was of pink and white carnations The bridegroom's mother wore a white street-length dress with brown accent tnm and a corsage of pink and white carnations Reception Fallows A reception was held in the fellowship hall of thechureh with Mrs DeCarroll Brown of Cromwell and Mrs. Charles Yoder of Ligonier serving the three-tiered cake, punch, mints and nuts The cake was decorated with pink roses and double pink bells on the top. The punch was also pink in keeping with the bride's color scheme The hall was decorated with pink and white streamers on the refreshment table, gift table and above the gift table White bells also decorated the tables and the lights. The couple is residing at 227 N. Roosevelt, Warsaw The bride is employed by GTI, Dytronics in Leesburg The bridegroom is employeed by Northern Indiana Public Service Company in Goshen Seelys in Michigan for anniversary dinner Saturday Mr and Mrs D G. Seely of Milford were in Marshall. Mich., on Saturday for the first of two

celebrations honoring his parents, Mr and Mrs. Glen D. Seely, Jonesville, Mich., on their golden wedding anniversary. All of the Seelys' seven children were present for the family dinner which was held in the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Shaner and family. Others in attendance were Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Sturtivant and Adam and James Seely of Tecumseh. Mich.; Mrs. M J. D'Addioof Lisle. Ill.; Mrs. James Kimmel and Julie of Mesa. Ariz.; and Susan Seely of Jonesville The couple will be honored at an open house later in the year. Busy Homemakers enjoy salad bar A salad bar was enjoyed on June 1 at the home of Mrs A D. Wilson by 11 members of the Busy Homemakers Club of Milford and two guests. Mrs. Evadean Overholser and little Sharon Rummel. Mrs. Lena Davidsen assested the hostess in serving. Table decorations were summer flowers After the lunch Mrs. Glen Pinkerton, president, opened the meeting with a poem. “Smiles ” The meeting continued with the singing of “America the Beautiful," the club creed led by Mrs. Glen Treesh and the pledge to the flag led by Mrs Harold Geiger Mrs Wilson read two poems. "Father’s Day” and “To My Father." for meditation. Garden lesson was on dandelions. The health and safety lesson was having blood pressure checked and blood tests Roll call was an exchange of recipes » Cards were signed and mailed to two members. Mrs. Ralph Neff and Mrs Harvey Hollar. Mrs. Wilson read a paper on old time folk remedies and most of them helped. She also gave a demonstration on making egg carton necklaces. . The next meeting will be July 27 in the home of Mrs Walter Kasper Many winners for Tippy Bridge Club Members of the ies Bridge Club. Tippecanoe Country Club, held play last Wednesday. Mrs. Don Wysong to be at Bethel's birthday party Mrs. Don Wysong of New Paris will present the program at the annual Bethel Church of the Brethren’s birthday gathering on June 12 at 7 p.m. in the Milford church's fellowship hall. Her program “Analogies of a Potter” has been well received in area churches. Mrs. Wysong is a teacher, mother and artist who shares her love for the Lord and pottery in the presentation. She currently teaches in the Elkhart Art League and has some private students. The public is invited to share with the Bethel congregation as they hear and see Mrs. Wysong make a piece of pottery. June birthdays recognized at OES meeting The regular June meeting of Kosciusko Chapter 160 Order of _ the Eastern Star, Milford, was held in the Masonic Temple on June 1. Worthy Matron Gertrude Ritter opened the business meeting by reading a poem entitled "June." Those having June birthdays received recognition from the chapter and the worthy matron read a poem on June birthdays. The chapter room was decorated with a replica of an old 13 colony flag surrounded by smaller current American flags and with vacation regalia depicting Father’s Day. A reading about the flag was given by the worthy matron as was a poem, "Father’s Hands.” Initiatory work will be given at a called meeting on June 23. Practice will be held on June 20. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Brooks and Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Kline composed the refreshment committee for the evening. They surprised the worthy matron with a birthday cake decorated with the Eastern Star emblem and “Happy Birthday Gertrude.” She was presented a gift from her officers. Senior queen contest at REMC Thursday The annual Kosciusko County Senior Citizen Queen contest will be held torhorrow (Thursday) in the REMC building at Warsaw at 7:30 p.m This is the county queen contest with contestants representing each of the area senior citizens clubs. One of the club queens will become county queen and will represent the county in the area queen contest. The area queen will then enter the state queen contest in Indianapolis with the state queen taking part in the state fair and at other activities throughout the state.
