Members of the Milford Christian Church are busy planning for their annual Vacation Bible School kick off day this coming Sunday. June 12. The theme of the day is: Paradise Lost — Paradise Found Events of the day center around the theme, from the creation and the sin of Adam and Eve found in the book of Genesis to the death of Jesus Christ and his resurrection and promise of eternal life as found in the NewTestament. Promotion for the day’s events were floats for the Memorial Day parades in Milford apd Syracuse. The first float carried the theme of the day with a garden of Eden featuring the fall of Adam and Eve and the cross with crown of thorns at top. representing the cross on which Christ died. The second float carried youngsters from the church Other youngsters walked along side the units wearing signs which invited all to attend Bible school at the church this year. Special Day Events on Sunday will begin with the Sunday School hour at 9:30 am Bus captains are currently busy inviting youngsters to be present for the special day and to enroll in the

scavenger hunt will highlight this annual event and a lunch will be served to all who attend. During the lost and found scavenger hunt — planned in different areas of the church gounds for different age groups — Registrations will be taken for V’BS This is the third year the church has held a special VBS kick off Sunday. Spearheading the program is junior worship chairman Tom Spencer, with the assistance of the church’s junior worship committee and VBS workers, in 1975 a Noah’s Ark theme was the feature of the day with Sunday School lessons and sermons centering around Noah, his family, theanimals on the ark and God's great flood. Last year Jonah was the theme of the day with a giant whale being created to the delight of the youngsters and VBS registrants being allowed to fish for gold fish. VBS June 13-17 Daily Vacation Bible School will begin on Monday. June 13, under the leadership of Mrs. Richard (Paulette) Brouillette, wife of the church's associate minister. She has chosen a CB theme: 104 God’s Message Received and Understood for the week. All are invited to attend the school with transportation being furnished for those who need it. Classes will run from 9:30 until 11:30a.m. each day with a picnic and practice for the closing program set for Friday. Classes are being held for two-year-olds

through eighth grade students. Along with the CB theme Mrs. Brouillette's department heads have chosen handles from CB lingo to be used throughout the week. Each wears a brightly lettered shirt showing his or her name and the" theme of the school. The director has chosen the name "Mama Bear’’ to indicate her leadership. . her young daughter Amy has therefore been given the name ‘‘Goldilocks.’’ The names of other department heads are as follows: Mrs. Robert (Nancy) Hamman of Syracuse — ‘ Bizzy Bea" Mrs Dennis (Linda) Replogle of Milford — "Daffy Duck” Mrs. Dan (Diana) Wayt of New Paris — "Dynamite" Mrs. James (Judy) VanCuren of Goshen — “Apple Blossom" Mrs. James (Carole) Moore of Milford — "Sunshine Girl" And. Richard Brouillette of Milford — "Lookin’ Good” Melissa Sherman and Debbie Gulick from Great Lakes Bible College in Lansing. Mich., will join the director, department heads, teachers and staff members in conducting the school. The college students will be helping the youngsters to become Campus Builders and will be singing and showing slides during the week. VBS activities include Bible study-, singing and playing as well as crafts and other activities. The closing program will be given on Sunday evening. June 17. at 7 p.m.
