Nicholas J. Moser Feb. 12, 1897-April 24,1977 Funeral services are to be held today (Wednesday) in Munster for Nicholas J. Moser. 90. r 3 Syracuse, who died Sunday, April 24. at Goshen Hospital at 5 p.m. He has been a patient there for several days. * Moser was born in Hammond on February 12,1897. On October 5, 1913. he married the former Matilda Scholl, who preceded him in death in January of 1969 He was a former employee of the DuPont Chemical Company. East Chicago. Inc., and had resided with his daughter in Syracuse since 1971. Survivors include his daughter, Mrs Elmer (Jeanette) Vames. Syracuse; one son. Charles N.

He was taken to Goshen Hospital at 10:37 p.m. Syracuse EMS made another ambulance run over the week end. on Sunday. April 24, at 8:28 am. Thelma Ford, 625 South Lake Street Syracuse, took sick in her home and had to be taken to Goshen Hospital at 9 a.m. Syracuse EMS was called out again on Monday, April 25, at 10:07 p.m. to the home of Mabel S Zehner. 68, r 1 box 262 Syracuse When they arrived, ambulance personnel were unable to find a pulse and announced her as dead on arrival. Nicholas Moser, 90, r 3 box 334A Syracuse, was taken to Goshen Hospital last Wednesday. April 20. after he became ill. The ambulance was sent to his home at 4:47 p.m. He was taken to the hospital at 8:45 p.m. Syracuse EMS was sent to Merrills Lounge, on Pickwick Road. Syracuse, when Fritz Honn. 29. r 4 Syracuse, an employee. became light headed. He requested not to be taken to the hospital, but was advised to see his doctor in the morning. Honn became sick Thursday, April 21. Ambulance was sent to the lounge at 9:05 p.m. Syracuse EMS was sent to Wawasee High School Tuesday, April 26. at 12:32 p.m. when Dave Mock, 16. r 3 box 237 Syracuse injured his back playing basketball. Mock was taken to Goshen Hospital at 1:11 p.m.

Mabel S. Zehner October 18, 1909-April 25,1977 Death came unexpectedly for Mabel S. Zehner, 67. r 1 Syracuse, who died in her home at 9:45 p.m. Monday. April 25. She had been ill with complications of the heart and diabetes for two months. Mrs. Zehner was born in Kosciusko County on October 18, 1909. She lived her younger years in the Syracuse area before moving to Muncie and living there for 30 years. She then moved back to Syracuse in 1965. Her parents were Alvin J. Shock and the former Dessie May Dull. On September 1, 1932. she married Paul Zehner. She worked as a secretary for 30 years at Durham Manufacturing in Muncie and was a member of the Eastern Star of Muncie, the BPW of Syracuse and the Women of the Moose. Mrs. Zehner is survived by her husband. Paul; one daughter, Mrs. Samuel (Patty) Koffman, New Haven; three grandchildren; one brother. Frederick A. Shock, Syracuse; and two aunts. One sister. Jessie Reidenback, Kendallville, preceded her in death. Calling will be today (Wednesday) from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the Harris Funeral Home. William Dale Martin. 33, 417 South Third Street Goshen, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound Monday. April 25. at 9:24 p.m. He was seated in his pick-up truck on the Syracuse North Webster Road Martin was born in Goshen on March 9. 1944 to Dale and Mary (Goble) Martin. He had resided in Elkhart and Kosciusko Counties all his life. At the Weatherhead Company, he worked in the electrical department. He was also a member of the Goshen Eagles Lodge and the Disabled American Veterans of Goshen.

Burial will follow in the Violett Cemetery. Jess C. Pritchett Jan. 7,1910- April Jess C. Pritchett, 67, r 2 Leesburg, died of a heart attack at 9:10 a m. last Sunday while visiting in Winona Lake. The attack was unexpected. The deceased was bom in Pueblo. Colo., on January 7,1910, the son of Jess and Elizabeth (Sager) Pritchett. He married Anna Marie Dungan in Indianapolis on May 16, 18&5. She survives. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Warsaw and was a retired bowling lane proprietor in Indianapolis He retired in 1975 as Anvers license examiner at the Warsaw and Syracuse license bureaus. The Pritchetts have lived at Lake Tippecanoe since coming to the county from Indianapolis 10 years ago He was a member of the Oriental Masonic Lodge F and AM number 500. Scottish Rite and Murat Temple in Indianapolis; and Delta Tau Delta Fraternity. He served ip the US Navy during World War II and was a graduate of Butler University Surviving with the wife are one son. S. Duane Pritchett; and three grandchildren, all of Indianapolis. The funeral was held Tuesday in the Crown Hill Church Chapel at Crown HUI cemetery. Indianapolis, with Dr. Gerald Johnson officiating. PAY FINES IN COURT Two area drivers paid fines last week in Elkhart County Court-Goshen Division. Herbert A. Miller, 53, 206 East Carroll Street Syracuse, paid $33 for failure to have his vehicle inspected. A fine of $35 was paid by Tim E. Weisser, 16, r 2 Milford, for speeding. Declaratory judgment filed in Warsaw The declaratory judgment to decide the jurisdiction of Turkey Creek Tow’nship has been filed Robert Reed, Syracuse Town Attorney reports. He said he filed the suit in Kosciusko Circuit Court, in W’arsaw, last Tuesday, April 19. after it was decided to definitely go ahead with the judgment at the special joint meeting of the Syracuse Town Board and Plan Commission on Thursday, April 14. Reed said he wasn’t sure how long it would take before the judgment got on the court calendar, because all of the persons related to the case will first get a summons which the court has 20 days to deliver. Ulen he and Jack Lawson, plan commission attorney, plus all the people receiving summons would have to go to the court to decide to go ahead with the trial or settle for some kind of agreement. Reed said the case could go before a judge in a month or take up to several months before a final decision is reached.
