‘ i M ’ J* . 4 ■ T My tx BARN DESTROYED — Fire completely destroyed a 40 by 60 foot barn on the Wayne Sholty farm, r 2 Milford, yesterday afternoon. The Milford Volunteer Fire Department assisted by the Syracuse Fire Department responded to the fire at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. Phil Campbell. Milford fireman, said the smoke from the fire was visable from Milford and when the unit arrived the roof of the structure collapsed. The barn was completely ablaze in 15 minutes. Owner Sholty was burning some trash, when a lit piece blew into the open barn door, igniting some hay. He attempted to put it out, then ran to a neighbor to call firemen. Stored inside th* barn were 300 bales of hay, 500 bales of straw, two cultivators, one manure spreader, two wagons and approximately 1300 of new lumber.
Radio, heater taken from business An am-fm black portable radio and small gray electric heater were stolen from the warehouse of the Perfection Biscuit Co., Inc., North Webster, in a break-in and theft February 28. An unknown object was used to pry open the front door. County Police Detective Sargent Stan Holderman made the investigation. The warehouse is located on CR 550 N. one-half mile east of SR 13. Driver cited for cause of collision Sue A. Davis, 25, r 2 Syracuse, was the cause of an accident Thursday on CR 1100 N at 11:15 p.m., when her auto collided with Kosciusko Co.
